Gracias, Javier!! Muy amable:good. 2 things I find quite funny about that fight. 1. How easy MAB made it look. I mean Hamed's lack of technical skills was completely exposed and MAB just seemed to be going about his business!! 2. How convincingly the bully got bullied. People seem to forget that Hamed landed some big, flush shots and MAB didn't even budge. Just goes to show you what happens when you step up in class.

I appreciate everything Naz did in his career I certainly wouldn't rubbish his overall standing.
I'm not the biggest fan of the Ingle style all the posing and posturing was an irrelevance to me, I just saw bad habits and poor balance which when he moved up to fight the top guys meant he got exposed.
To me the only extraordinary thing about him was his freakish power, he was arguably the hardest punching featherweight ever.
And yes to me Barrera was a superior fighter, more substance about him, more depth with just a better grounding in the sport.
Fair enough the scorecards might have suggested it wasn't a schooling but taking everything into consideration in actuality it was.

Weak ass era, and the Junio Jones losses don't mean **** in the grand scheme of things.

Naz got his ass schooled, then went on to face a Spaniard where his owns fans were booing him then he never fought again.

    Barrera Retired him, :deal

Hmm, wasn't there some story about him making Barrera, and the crowd wait 20 minutes while he had his fvcking hair cut, or something feeble like that?

    He got his just desserts.

If he wanted to injure him he would have found another way to do so and get his self DQ'd. Barrera was tired of Hamed's clowning and gave him some in return. No he shouldn't have been DQ'd for merely holding and pushing Hamed to a corner.

Floyd fell through the ropes and took an intentional punch to the back of the head. Nothing similar to Barrera holding Hamed and pushing him in a corner. If Barrera twisted him and whacked him intentionally to the back of the head then sure a point deduction is necessary.

you really think he got exposed when moving up in class?

the only fights that were a bit of a rumble were the Sanchez and Kelley fights. but every fighter in history has fights that were tougher than they expected. doesn't mean they got exposed.
Kelley was a very good fighter with world class skill. the man had only lost once (avenged) and past his best (4 years after the Naz fight) he gave a prime Morales a bit of a boxing lesson. if it had been the version that fought Naz, he would have won that fight. but does that mean he was exposed as well? i don't think he was.

look at the fighters that Robinson lost to? brawlers with very little skill. so if Naz was exposed, then the fighter that's regarded as the best in history, was exposed a whole lot more. :deal

stronger than the era that Barrera was fighting in at Super Bantem. :deal

and Barrera lost twice to a fighter in a weaker era. 1st he was knocked out. the 2nd he lost on points.

at least Naz lost to an ATG. Barrera didn't when losing those fights. so yeah, it does mean **** in the grand scheme of things. :deal

Naz didn't get schooled either. Barrera won in a close fight that Naz looked **** in.

Naz retired because he had lost his love for boxing. not because of Barrera.

Barrera originally planned to retire once he got a world title so thats why he retired after loosing it to jones. He comes from a pretty well off family unlike alot of mexican fighters. His dad is in the film industry.

Barrera never had to fight but he had the fire in his belly. Hamed maybe only cared about cashola. Barrera wanted to fight and leave his mark on the sport. Without his win over hamed barrera is still far ahead in terms of ATG ness
