If SL "shows up" (Helenius from), sure Wilder will have his hands full and could lose. I doubt anything close to that version of SL shows up. The point is, why did Wilders handlers make this near meaningless fight? It's obvious - to get a name win on Wilders ultra thin resume. Wilder need to step up beyond washed up names :bart
I'm not sure where all the Wilder hate comes from. He's entertaining, seems like a nice guy, trying to pay his family's bills and improve himself. We all know he's been managed carefully, but I don't get all the talk about him being a joke. I do believe Liakhovich is a very live dog though as I said in my thread. I think it's a good fight.
You can say similar things about Wlad & Vitali. They're top philanthropists, funding many charities, well educated - very much for boxers - and speak multiple languages. Some US fighters hardly speak English While you may not be sure where all he Wilder "hate" comes from (hint - he's a huge guy with a big punch that has only fought tomato cans :yep )... I'm pretty sure where all the hate for the K bros comes from :-(
The first problem is he is black. Second he is from the USA. Paint him white and say he is from Europe (not UK) and they would hype the living hell out of him.
"seems like a nice guy" Oh ye he is if you consider him trying to strangle a women a nice thing to do.
You don't understand women here. There black widows.. Chances are he didn't do ****. Women here just want money and nothing more.
dude has lost 4 out of 6 and is fat and out of shape. as bad as wilder is, he will beat this version of the fat wolf
Amazing how long Liahkovich has been riding that Brewster win. Nothing against the guy but he has really done nothing beyond that and infact has had a steady string off big losses since he faced Briggs.
He never lived up to his full potential. He should have beaten briggs... atsch things have been down hill from there. but to his credit he only wants to step in with the best/well known contenders of the divisions. Helenius, Jennings and Wilder in 3 straight fights? Not bad if you ask me, and I think if he shows up that he WILL beat Wilder who is **** compared to Helenius and Jennings. Liakhovich could have feasted on bums and maybe played the waiting game and eventually gotten a title shot(what most guys do these days) but he only wants to face contenders even though he's past his prime, power to him. he's a warrior and earned respect my respect after that War with Brewster.
I think the Liakhovitch that faced Helenius would likely beat Wilder, you underestimate how crude and weak Wilder is. I don't think he would be able to compete with White Wolf in the later rounds. Wilder is an accident waiting to happen.
