The guy is four months into his pro career with 8 fights under his belt and people are bitching about his opponents? C'mon guys.

If he's still doing this in 6 months time there will be room for complaint.

hes had 7 fights, hes 18 and this is a warm up fight before his big fight on the 28th of sept on the haye vs fury undercard. Peter has promised a big step up against a veteran heavyweight who can punch so lets wait and see before we judge

What do "talent pool" and Hughie Fury opponents have to do with each other? His opponents so far have accumulated more than 150 losses.

No one is suggesting he should be fighting contenders, champions or the like. But I don't see why it's out of line to ask that if wants to compete in the heavyweight division that they at least try to dig up an actual heavyweight for him to fight.

You seriously don't think there are any journeymen above 200 pounds that he could fight instead of some cruiser who is winless in his last six fights against opponents under the 200-pound mark?

I understand he's just 18. But if a welterweight turns pro at 18 it doesn't mean he gets to fight bantams and feathers. All I'm saying is let him fight heavyweights.

Are you actually serious ? Martin Rogan is horse ****, 7 fights or not Hughie Fury should be winning this easily if he's as good as people think.

But McPhillbin IS a heavyweight now. If he weighs in correctly who gives a ****. Its shanes own choice to fight at heavy. By this logic, any heavy to give Mcphillbin his first fight at the weight should be equally scrutinised.

Yes, they ought to. Fair enough his schedule at cruiser was pretty daunting from Enzo through Prizefighter so the five loss skid we can forgive...but ****'s sake he just drew with a damn 0-3-1 novice. He clearly isn't up to much at heavy.

  11. Mcphilbin fought at heavy as an amateur and pf as a pro.

But is ****,he will spoil his way through a payday which is a good learning fight for hughie.shane will use all his tricks and try and club him at close range.

Decent fight for a pro 5 months into his career.

This is by no means a bad fight. Hughie should be facing decent domestic level British HW's next year, win the commonwealth titles and then inch over towards world level. by the time he's 20-21 he should be facing good competition.

Chisora’s trainer Don Charles said: “They have history but it was purely a coincidence that they bumped into each other during their holidays"

Dereck Chisora was involved in an amazing nightclub brawl with Wladimir Klitschko.

Chisora reignited one of the ugliest feuds in boxing after confronting the world champion in a nightclub on Ibiza. The heavyweights then had to be pulled apart by bouncers.

The Briton spat water in Wladimir’s face in the ring moments before his world heavyweight title fight with the Ukrainian’s brother Vitali in Munich in February last year.

Chisora’s trainer Don Charles said: “They have history but it was purely a coincidence that they bumped into each other during their holidays.”

Chisora, 29, once threatened to shoot David Haye after a brawl at a conference following the Klitschko fight and has a reputation for being unpredictable.

When you start calling people out as the Fury's have done, it is only fair we then pick apart your opponents when they are leagues below those you are supposedly interested in.

That's the name of the game folks.
