Then why not pick apart every single 18yr old boxer who has made bold claims in the past instead of focusing on the Fury's alone.

Go and hound each one that called out big fighters to raise profile, show ambition and then fight someone nearer to their actual level at the time and you will be hounding nearly every boxer out there.

Probably most of them when they turn pro. Not the norm to find someone that age saying 'Im going to do my best but dont aspire to beat anyone or achieve anything'

Obviously you get very humble fighters but more often than not they will be quite outspoken

It cant possible be that i cannot be arsed referring someone to an exact case of a young boxer talking himself up. If you really think that needs direct quotes to believe then you clearly dont know boxing very well.

 

I think its a good fight although even people out of this forum tend to disagree with me. Tyson boxed Mchpilbin in the aba's in 2007 and was a super heavyweight in the ams so its not like he hasnt operated at this weight before i excpect hughie to win but i dont think it will be the blowout people are excpecting.

Id like to see him box Zack Page and Larry O after this fight.

 

Fighting this regular it is not a bad fight to make.

The rate he is going he'll have had 40 fights by the end of next year.

Will do him no harm at all to be this busy!!!

 

I've seen McPhilbin a few times but honestly the only lasting impression that sticks in memory is when Chris Keane dazzled him with the jab, shook off his excessive clinching and rabbit punching, tore up his bod and blasted him out with ease.

So, basically, if Hughie doesn't make quick work of him there is still a lot to work on in the gym before we talk about him bothering with any serious opposition.

 

Surely quality sparring is a lot better than jumping into a ring with a bunch of bums?

I think John McDermott would be a decent opponent for him at the start of next year,
