This^. Stevens fighting this W/E v's Saul Roman, if he gets a decent win to establish a bit more MW credibility, I think he's the one to go for. He's a big enough puncher to be dangerous in theory, but doesn't really have the quality to be a significant risk. In fact, It's entirely possible he'll struggle 'gainst Roman.

Would be nice to see a fight with Geale/Barker, but I don't see the winner wanting to give up their shiny belt until they have too.

Obviously the Quillin fight won't happen, at least till the Cold War ends between GoldenBoy/HBO. I'm fine with him against Curtis Stevens. Literally nobody else
is calling Golovkin out. Clearly he sees something he think he can exploit (whether he can
is another thing). I'm fairly certain Sergio is looking at Golovkin being his swan song,
so I think that fight happens anyway.

Stay busy against Lee, Mora, or Rubio. Murray or N'Jikam later this year. He can face Geale/Barker winner next year.

The patronymic. In Russia (or ex-soviet) normally the progeny takes the name of the father (with the added suffix -ov/-ev or ovich/-evich =eqiv (son) of (+a if female) ) as what in English we'd call the 'middle' name.

In short Gennadys dad was also was also called Gennady. His brothers would all have shared his 'middle' name.

Mora wants to fight GGG. And Maravilla has stated he'd beat GGG on the outside if they ever faced. I'd like to see Mora, who looked good vs. Proksa. Quillen wants anyone EXCEPT GGG so that one won't happen.

Americans can call him Gena Golovkin Jr., an equivalent of GGG.

The Murray fight won't happen but, GGG/Mora and GGG/Vera are mildly entertaining fights that Team GGG would agree to and could realistically be made before the end of the year. These fights would also expose GGG to more American casual fans in the states as Mora and Vera(to a lesser degree) are fairly well known.

Bursak is another fight that could be made but I'm not sure if that fight would further their agenda of making Golovkin a household name in The States.
