Perhaps not but that's how progression works he is continuing to fight better fighters! and beating them. Im rooting for Fury, whilst Haye is already worldclass (but inactive) Fury is heading in that direction with each fight.
Well said, he is improving all the time, even Adam booth admited that Fury is getting better and better
The best thing for Fury is that he is expected to lose, he's only 24 and he can lose this fight, chalk it off as a learning experience and come again. He's a baby at HW and the pressure is on Haye, it's a good pay day for Fury and he's not finished if he loses at Haye is currently the no 3 HW behind the Klits. I have to disagree that Haye showed us much in his fight against Wlad. He showed good defensive movement but he simply didn't try and land enough of his own punches or throw enough to have any chance of winning the fight let alone scoring a KO. His ONLY tactic was back off and try and walk Wlad on to a big right hand, that's not good enough at the top level, where was the plan B when that flopped? He took very little punishment and didn't get battered but lost every round other than the last one I think. The thing that really annoyed me was in the 12th round he actually threw some punches and he landed one that had Wlad clinging on to him. If he had shown that ambition from round 1 then he could have won, Haye hits harder than Samuel Peter who had Wlad down 3 times! So whilst he didn't get beaten up, he was technically schooled by Wlad and all Wlad had to do was pop the jab in his face. He could have literally won the fight using only his left jab as Haye threw nothing back and had no answer or method of getting past Wlad's jab, surely the thing they must have spent months and months working on? Haye vs Vitali is a different fight as he is older, slower and more hittable and doesn't use the jab in the same way as he has a better chin than Wlad.
It amazes me people think Fury can lose this and come back as if nothing happened. What fights are out there for a man who will be knocked out cold within 5 rounds? He will only possibly win a title by default in that the depth of talent in the HW division is so poor that he may have an outside chance of winning a belt like the WBO.
Look at Haye, stopped in 5 rounds by Thompson at the same age as Fury, comes back to be unified CW champion, moves up to HW and wins a world title whilst becoming a multi millionaire. Fury still has 10 years in his physical prime and will mature, win or lose this fight he still has it ahead of him with Wlad retiring and the division being weak.
What a disaster for a 24 year to lose to a 2 time world champion and 3rd best in the HW, you do talk rubbish sometimes Haye knocked out chisora and he is still getting fights and could maybe get another shot at klitchos.. Oh yeah and fury beat chisora as well...
I rate Haye very high at Cruiserweight the win against Mormeck was quality and in his back yard aswell, Enzo was a champion at the time and he blew him away, however i cannot see how you can rate his career as a heavyweight, Monte Barett is a gate keeper decent but never near a champion, i understand the reasons for the Valuev fight and dont blame him for taking it, but Valuev is top 3 worst HW champions a near 50 year old Holyfield beat him and was robbed, Ruiz was miles over the hill and really was coming over for one more big payday, Harrison christ dont even try defend that joke of a fight, worst HW championship fight ever, and Harrison was a total bum, why didnt he fight some top quality guy if the Wlad fight wasnt happening, no instead he fights the joke Harrison. His peformance against Wlad was useless, how can you say he did ok, no he won maybe 2 rounds and ran for 12 rounds having talked so much **** about how he would KO him ect he failed against Wlad badly, Chisora had lost to Fury who nobody on the forum seems to rate much, and lost a wide UD to a one armed pensioner in Vitali, Hayes record at HW is not in anyway quality as a cruiserweight yes i agree he was great and deserves hugh respect for that but dont make out that Haye has beaten anyone of much quality at HW he hasn't
What has been so disapointing? He's lost one fight, conceding 2 stone in weight and 3 inches in height against one of the most negative fighters around. Other than the Klitschko's, at that stage there was no one who would have added anything to his legacy. Now you could maybe argue Pulev or Povetkin but still no one else is worth much more than the Valuev win. I'm not his biggest fan but he gets way too much hate - especially for the Vlad fight.
People in the buisness know haye is a top top fighter, imo he dosnt get enough respect for fighting a klitchko after only 7 fights at the weight .. I think haye could go on for another 3-5 years and greatly improve his cv. Booth said the other day haye is in excellent condition and is showing no signs of wear and tear so i dont see why not..
Haye been inactive for a year lost near on 30lbs within that time and had to bulk up again can't be a good thing. Bound to affect his speed and agility at this stage. Also didnt look all that elusive v Chisora Hopefully Adam booth isn't mimicking the long jab with a glove on a stick this time.
I'm sorry you can't give it large and then lose virtually every round show no sign of attack and then blame your toe ...and not to expect some stick .....but he lost to a good fighter so we will excuse that but for me its disappointing he didn't try and land more against Wlad and its disappointing that he thinks fighting harrison is good for his CV and rather the n fighting Pulev or povetkin he looks domestic level. The only reason is money
It's not OK for him to fight for money at his stage of his career but it's fine for Fury to duck Pulev (because he knows he'll lose) to instead take a fight for more money that he knows he'll lose anyway? Lest we forget that Fury's talked **** for years about how he'll get to Wlad or Vitali and his quickest route was through Pulev.
