And I used David Tua as an example that sometimes height does not translate directly to weight. Undoubtedly, there is a correlation between weight and height, but it's not direct. Canelo looks RIPPED and barely conscious at the weight ins when he has to make 154, which is weird, given that it should be his best weight due to his height only. But other factors, such as bone density, body type (he is an endomorph) and genetics are driving his natural weight up.

I swear, you and several posters like you, are simply fishing for some "Pro Canelo" agenda in other people's posts, even when they aren't there. I for one hold no illusions about the outcome of Floyd-Canelo fight and think the only 2 people who could beat Floyd right now are GGG and Sergio (2 weight classes above May's)

he wont move there because he cant compete there.

    thats my point.

he will continue to make 154 because he has no other options other than becoming a gatekeeper thats going to end up getting beat up(at 160).

    forget ggg.

can you imagine what guys like quillen and jikam would do to canelito?

alvarez would lose to the current faded version of andy lee.

and if jr could still make the weight alvarez would get ruined.

    physically and mentally abused.

    ripped?

he doesnt look any different than anyone else at the weigh-ins, especially compared to bradley, paq and floyd.

what canelo has going against him is his short stumpy legs which makes him unable to make 147.

he looked no bigger than mosley on fight night(upper body) and shane was always under-sized for 154.

im not trying to bash you but simply looking historically at a guy like canelo and i dont see much success in his future. there was duran, toney, qawi, tua and tyson that all had success being undersized but all these guys had one punch and no stamina issues something that canelo has issues with.

Why bring that old middleweight GGG in this??

Pernell wasn't required to fight middleweights

He won a title at 154 but wasn't slammed for not fighting Terry Norris.

Mayweather never fought a LEGIT jr middle..cotto and oscar are not career 154lbers..

    Don't forget MOST of Floyd's 44 fights are at 130 and 135...

If GGG and Sergio's old as.s want to be somebody let them fight bigger guys like Floyd has.

GGG is 31 y/o and has YET "challenged himself"......that goes double for that gay Argentine

Because Pernell didn't make 32 mil a fight and wasn't the richest athlete in the world ;) With big money come big challenges.

true..but it's best for Floyd to fight Canelito now because he is most marketable,as opposed to when somebody really kicks his ass badly.

Who's taken bigger challenges than Floyd?????????????

Let's see GGG or Sergio move up a division or two and fight the champions...

    Hell

They get blowjobs just for fighting the Macklins of the world..

Thankfully, Mayweather isn't stupid to give ******s what they desperately crave. It's very simple, if these clowns don't approve of his opponents simply walk away and don't watch him fight. Despite his last joke of an opponent, no offense to Guerrero he's a solid fighter but not on Mayweather's level, he's bringing the sport a solid event soon with a dream fight on the undercard.
