    Interesting fight in my opinion. Not a world changing affair but far more interesting than a Grano match.

    The guys Adamek has been fed at heavyweight are normally about as fast as a sloth covered in molasses.

    Guinn on the other hand is the opposite, and has pretty fast hands. He's capable of sharp punches, especially big left hooks, a decent jab and a nice right cross. Certainly not Kevin McBride in there.

    The thing with Adamek is that he's a scrappy, undersized guy at heavy fighting opposition thats also quite fragile. An old decrepit Golota. Travis Walker can be hurt by a stiff breeze. Maddalone, Grant and Mcbride don't need any explanation. The thing is he's not even putting hurt on all of these guys, and the ones he is he's simply out gritting.

    Guinn is anything but fragile. The guy ate flush hooks from Boytsov when he had his hands down out of the clinch and smiled at him. He has one of those elite chins, and as far as I know has never been knocked down as an amataer career or pro... and he had something like 300 fights as an amateur.

    I see this fight as being similar to Adameks match against Jason Estada, a guy along with Guinn that needs to drop 20 pounds. That fight was a close, ugly affair.

    I don't know, I just don't believe in Adamek's durability anymore. I think he's a battle worn old war horse. He was almost out against Walker, and has shown against light hitters like Cunningham and Chambers that he's far from hard to hit.

    Just have a feeling that Guinn might shock a few people. Adamek has been hurt in almost every heavyweight fight he's had, and Guinn is a sick finisher when he actually does hurt his guy.

    Thoughts, gentlemen?

    I also think Adameks waning dedication out of the ring isn't helping him as of late. His decline has been slow and steady.

    That DUI leads me to believe that he may have some issues with the bottle, and not much ruins a fighter more than booze.

    He's slowing because he is nearly 37 has had 50 fights plenty of which were wars.

    Guinn is tough but even a faded Adamek beats him handily here. Wide UD for Adamek

    Most predictable outcome of a heavyweight fight possible:

    Guinn has an iron chin, hardly throws any punches, hasn't won a lot of rounds in the last few years.

    Adamek can't hurt him but wins rounds.

    Adamek wins a one-sided decision, probably a shutout.

    a Grano fight is more interesting in my opinion. Guinn will come standing straight up with his gloves up in a shell and Adamek can move and box for 12 rounds.

    I know it's been 3 years but how come nobody mentions that Adamek fought and beat Arreola.

    Adamek wide DEC. Adamek is a warrior, but age is catching up to him. His waiting for Vitali to vacat and go for the vacant WBC title.

    A shame that Guinn wasn't more motivated.He had all the skills to make headlines but under achieved in every way.Alas,an easy decision for Thomas over a fighter who has arguably more skills.

    Although Adamek is not who he used to be, he still wins this by UD. He has had plenty of rest and is hungry to be back in the ring. I think he'll put on a good show.
