He looked about the same as Mosley. But Mosley is 37. He was 22 at the time. A man who at 22 has similar upper body as a 37 year old large "light middleweight" is not going to be able to make 154 much longer. I agree he would be a lot less effective at 160, and that his handlers will go all out to keep him at 154, but you can only do so much against nature.
I have a feeling that Alvarez will do much better than everyone thinks. He really wanted the fight with Void and will work very hard for it. Wish he had more experience, but he is pretty wise when he is in the ring, for his age esp.
I don't think Lara could beat Canelo, nor Molina , Kirkland, Angulo or Rosado. 3G sparred Canelo and he said that he's a strong fighter. He always praises him ( he doesn't say that he's a good boy but that he's a strong fighter ). Also Canelo has a very underrated ring IQ and boxing skills. His main disadvantage is the lack of top level exp. compared with Floyd's exp.
You should wish Canelito had more talent and height... Stick to loving old Russians because your young mexican brother is going to get humiltated..:rasta
MVC's alt = Mr Pibb gotcha ! :heyhi: that cawk.sucker was trolling and riding Floyd and Leo cawks 24/7 on this forum.
you dont understand what i said. winky wright, who never ko'd anyone, wouldve lost to canelito because the judges werent going to allow anyone to beat alvarez on the cards that night. by the way, i agree with most everything you say but canelo landed the harder and more telling shots.
everyone here knows that i dont have an ALT, idiot. the mods can check because i live in mexico where my IP address is. why dont you and your mouth accept my lifetime esb ban bet, dumb-ass? thats calling you out and you, as you say, getting knocked down. why wont you accept this bet? you wont even back canelito by ko with me having floyd by ko...thats how utterly chickensh-it you are especially with your yellow font. ffs, go make some friends. get a gf no matter how ugly she is. something. anything. please, put me on your ignore list as you are generally someone i tend to ignore. thanks, Quincy k PS a comma does not preceed the word "and" dumbshi-t.
wlad sparred with andy lee and said he was solid who then went on to get kod by jr. whats your point? the only thing that you can take from the ggg/canelito sparring session is that with full head gear and presumably 16-ounce gloves canelo was hurt bad enough that his leg stiffened when hit and he could not sit down in his corner because of this(if this were to happen in a fight there is a good chance that the 5'7" mexican would be ko'd shortly thereafter). this being the same ggg who could not knockdown garbiel rosado sans headgear and with 10-ounce gloves. after canelito loses on 9/14 if gbp somehow were to erroneoulsy match alvarez against rosado in his next fight gabriel would be the buy of the year as a +500.
possibly but at +500 i would definately accept the risk even with the crooked gbp judges. i think that we can both agree that alvarez is not going to KO rosado(gabe took the angulo fight on one months notice while working construction) so then you are left with the possible outcome of the 6'0" gabriel outworking the 5'7" canelo in the later rounds. gabe is too hard, too durable and will come in with the ktfo or gktfo trying attitude. he knows that he is the physically bigger man and will push canelo around the ring if alvarez does not have the skills to impede this. i think you are underestimating the bad-ass demeanor of gabriel rosado. a guy like lara may be abe to out-slick gabe but trout, james(the only one that could possibly ko him), molina, vanes and canelo...these guys are not going to be able to break him as hes just too big and too strong and has the mind-set to go along with it.
