i think over the years guinns mindset has become that of a sparring partner.he don't really come to get it.even in his early fights he never really seemed to go out there hungry.just kinda goes through the motions.

having said that if he for once goes into this fight thinking and really wanting to win he can pull it off against adamak.he has the skill... he's just gotta really want it.

theres not a big difference between the two talent wise

Guinn has such an abundance of skills and uses none of them. The thing is
he could easily clip Adamek, but it's doubtful he will. Adamek should win a
    decision just by being busy.

I'd have preferred a Grano fight over a Guinn one. Guinn might have the superior skill set and experience compared to Grano but he just doesn't put forth the effort in the ring.

Guinn is content to stand around and do as little as possible in a ring while Grano would actually put forth an effort.

Adamek probably wins by outworking and outhustling Guinn. Adamek by decision.

All this talk about Adamek's skill diminishing makes me wish he was still a cruiserweight with bloody wars

  5. Guinn will knock Adamek out in round 8 or 9.

If that happens then it happens early. No way does Adamek lose in the later rounds...his conditioning is way greater than that of Guinn's.

Man Adamek beats him to the punch and pretty much outclasses Guinn in that sparing. Better foot movement too. Btw, I think this happened when Shields was training Adamek. for the Arreola fight. I think Adamek ought to consider Ronnie as his main trainer again, although location might be an issue.

    This was three years ago

Adamek is on the slide where as Guinn is the same as ever in my opinion, as heavies age far better than fighters in the lower weight classes.

I don't know. I've just seen Adamek rattled by almost every heavyweight he's ever fought, even other ones with lethargic sloth like work rates in McBride.

He may have been rattled by everyone but has he lost? Nope.. the guy pulls off the win. He'll do the same here.

I do favor Adamek to win by a large margin. Just some thoughts.

He's been hurt by most heavyweights he's fought, most that are dog **** slow.

Guinn has a lot of power when he lets his hands go, and my thought is that he has very fast hands. He's no plodding Travis Walker that badly hurt Adamek just a few fights ago, nor Kevin McBride/Michael Grant.

I think his deterioration could be related to the sheer number of fights he's had at heavyweight, many of which came against guys much larger then he is. We shall see if the 7 month break from the ring allows him to bounce back and look better than recently.

Hopefully he does look fresher than he has.

He's looked ragged and very messy lately. I don't want to see the guy end his career being battered around every time he steps up.

Guinn could be very live, here.

Of course, that's assuming he can summon the passion so customarily lacking through his career...

He briefly stunned Boystov with a clean left hook. He didn't wobble him or anything, but Boystov backed off and obviously had a more respect for him after that shot. Very subtle when it happened, but I did notice it .

Don't know. I honestly don't think it's going to take much to get Adamek out of there. I just feel like he's well past prime without it being super evident because of careful match making against pillow fisted fighters (Cunningham and Chambers)
