Adamek get's hurt often by heavy's. Guinn's only gonna throw 12 punches a round
but his overhand right is great, and he's got a good left hook as well. Adamek
better move and not stop the entire fight.

Guinn has supposedly been in the gym for several weeks prior to this fight... If his weight reflects that I might lay a few bucks on him. The odds are ridiculous, 10 to 1 straight on.

And again, if he has been in the gym it won't be the same scenario as such and such name fighter timing calling in Guinn on 5 days notice.

chambers, cunningham, vitali, all stylistic nightmares for adamek who does better with a more stationary, or less huge fighter. adamek can have a field day with someone like Guinn. adamek will be shooting combinations on top of combinations and moving. he can do what he wants in the ring with Guinn.

Guinn is in many ways a bigger, fatter Chambers with a lower work rate. Their defensive maneuvers are somewhat similar.

I can see similarities between this fight and the Chambers/Povetkin. Activity winning the day.

guinn will have to knock adamek out just to win by decision. adamek is the most "gifted" boxer in the game. he got a gift against chambers and he got a gift against cunningham. i'll be skipping this bout. shame on main events and nbc for trying to force this guy on us.

Adamek is not with Main Events anymore, he parted ways with them in Spring :thumbsup

His road is very near the end...if he wins this, he better step up in opposition and test himself one last time if he really wants to take on a klit

No doubt true, but Tony is very limited.

No, he resigned with main events once again and is currently fighting for them. BTW, if he wins against Guinn there is talk of Jennings being his most likely opponent.

Yeah, I think he was shopping around for a different deal, but without knowing all the financial details, most feel Main Events promoted him well, in terms of venues, frequent fights, decent opponents, decent tv coverage etc. I think he understood that and that's why he's back on board. On the other hand, Duva acknowledged too that Adamek was almost single-handedly responsible for their resurgence, as they were on the brink of folding out of business just before Adamek signed on.

Does Adamek's outside the issues cause anyone concern?

A hit and run/DUI is a little troubling.

according to Adamek, the incident was blown out of proportion by the media, it was just a minor car accident in which nobody was hurt

I wouldn't be too concerned with it, especially since it happened in January, and now we have August

If the guys turned to the bottle, I think it will become extremely apparent very soon.

Like I said, I hope the guy doesn't end his hammer being hammered around the ring while having substance abuse issues outside of it.
