No doubt about it Thompson is getting knocked out , Respect to him for taking the paycheck, as everyone else is ducking Pulev, but make no mistake about it Thompson is fighting Pulev for the paycheck only, he knows he has no chance against Pulev.
ud..close on cards cause thompson is awkward....that being said pulev is tough and not david price.....
Except for 2 losses to Wlad you can say this will be TT hardest fight by a mile While I think TT is the underdog (not saying TT can't beat Pulev), his backers act like the wins on his record are in another league than Pulev's. Look at each fighters record the past 5 years. Even including the 2 wins vs over hyped Price, how do TT's better wins compare to Pulev's? :think Hardly much of a difference.
Doubt Thompson will be knocked out especially with his confidence sky rocketing after the two Price victories. At best I expect Pulev to win by decision. Won't be surprised if Pulev loses either, this is his biggest step-up to date.
What a ****ed up thing to say. You're discrediting Thompson on the basis of what exactly? I'll never understand how douche bags like you claim professional boxers take hard fights for the paycheck alone. People should be celebrating the fact that he's taken the fight where others have ducked. People were saying the same **** before the Price fight, and now look, he shut everyone up twice. As is the natural approach, you take a step foward, you continue along that path. Thompson is an experienced fighter and Pulev is a big step forward. Stop acting as if Thompson doesn't care about titles, glory, or legacy just because of his age. He's lost to Wlad twice, and he himself believes Wlad to be an ATG, that doesn't mean he can't stake out his own place in the division. Beating Pulev will lead to even bigger paydays as well, so no doubt he's taking this fight very seriously.
Grand Dad didn't do too bad knocking out Price twice. I like Thompson's relaxed approach. I give him a good chance to knock Pulev out :bbb
If Thompson gets stopped, it'd be because of conditioning issues late in the fight. Otherwise, I don't think Pulev's got enough pop to make it happen. Tony's chin, even if it's slipped a little bit, is still solid. Besides, if Pulev falls in love with going for the KO, that'd play to Tony's advantage. If Pulev "fights boring", it'll be a tougher fight for Thompson to win.
This is what I have been thinking to myself silently every time I read a comment that says Pulev KO's Thompson.
good thoughts man. I would love to see thompson fighting more of these young guns and exposing the pretenders out there. But tony is proud fighter and might be targeting for another title(money)fight.
