    Vitali will be retiring soon
wlad will probably retire in 3 or 4 years
usyk is starting out as a cruiserweight
hughie fury is still very young they'll probably take their time with him
so it's obvious that the real deal Pulev will be the dominant champion after wlad retires it'll be Pulev's era

I hear nothing but awesome things about Pulev. I went and looked him up, and first I have to say I didn't watch much. A few minutes here, a few there, various fights. So I will have to sit down and actually watch a full fight of his against known opposition, but I have to say, I wasn't overly impressed when I watched him, and kinda was shocked that this was the guy everyone was praising.

However, I realize it takes more then just watching a few rounds of a fighter to truly gauge them, obviously. But still.... have to say I was a little underwhelmed with what I saw.

What's wrong with Hughie Fury, Russell? He's a very good looking prospect from the fights I've seen.

He's not spectacular at all. But people want a hungry guy with some skill and a chin and an amateur background and he's all that. His jab is as good as almost anyone's and he's got stamina too. As far as not being very vulnerable and getting all his dues the honest way so far he's one of the few guys to support at heavy I guess. He's a genuine contender. Wladimir would blast his head off though.

I saw Pulev beat the crap out of the undefeated 6 foot 8 inch 300 lbs. Ustinov!!! Very impressive!!!

Well, he's beaten two decent heavies in a row so that's certainly a start in the right direction.

what was a bit pathetic was how many top guys backed out of an IBF eliminator vs Pulev

    1. Adamek (wanted more money)

2.Fury (went for Haye, instead of fighting a final eliminator vs Pulev)

    3. Dimitrienko (refused a rematch)

    4. Jennings (also claimed to money wasn't right)

Until he beats Audley Harrison he's not a true savoir of the division.

He probably will be a strong part of the post Klitschko generation, but hopefully he isn't going to be the future.
The guy is good, but there isn't a wow factor and basically he has the wrong nationality. Not for me, cause I don't care where the HW champ comes from, but the Klitschko situation has shown that most fans from the big boxing countries do.

He's not spectacular, and the wrong nationality.
I like the dude, but he's not going to dominate anything and he won't be viewed as a savior.

    Great comment totally agree.

I think Fury took a good route for his career should he come out on top. However, I don't think Fury "ducked" him. Depending on how both of their fights turn out I think this fight will be in the works sooner rather than later. If Pulev wins I think the winner of Fury V. Haye will probably be in his best interest, that is if Haye doesn't call it after this one, if he wins.

I feel they are kind of rushing Jennings already. Jennings has the potential to make an impact in the division, but I think he needs a bit more time to be groomed and I hope his team realizes that as well. I think he needs a couple more decent fights, and then his next "big step" should be Wilder.

The only problem I have with Pulev is that I feel he is also being rushed.

The last two guys Pulev fought were decent enough competition; however, neither of them really had an impressive resume themselves. I do give him credit for Ustinov because he's a tough guy (kickboxer and whatnot), but his record is full of nobodies as well. Really Pulev hasn't had enough good opposition for me to call him the future. If he beats Thompson convincingly and with good merit I may give it more thought.

  13. it's good that Pulev has always faced good opposition from the start, I feel it's helped him. He knocked out Matt Skelton in 4 rounds in just his 5th fight remember.

    He's clearly being avoided
He's a top fighter who should defo at the moment be the favourite to dominate after the Klitschko era, my only problem with him is he's not a personal favourite of mine as I don't find him good to watch.

I dont think so. Can you guys please stop hyping these mediocre Euro HWs cuz it's getting old .

Pulev, Boystov, Price etc all these guys are dime a dozen and there isnt anything special about them.

You want to talk about natural talent and Amir Mansour is above all those Euro bums.
