Another odd comment by the OP...because Adamek didnt have a fight lined up 3 weeks after his previous one he is somehow not dedicated anymore.Besides the time he was shelved by King(like he does with most fighters) this 8 month break is the longest he has taken in years.

Adamek lacks one thing Steve and Eddie from Philly have in there game plan....make stupid faces every time you get tagged..dry hump the air in celebration every time you land your own. Word is he is working on those 2 things as we speak.:deal

I stand by my original statements. I think a faded Guinn is a dangerous opponent against a faded Adamek who has showed chin and defense deficiencies at heavyweight. :bart

"Did you see him stick his tongue out and then flick a counter right jab/cross hybrid into the air four inches in front of his opponent's face and then block a body shot with his stomach? He is DOMINATING THE ACTION! I've never seen a heavyweight this slick!"

Sure,,as long as Adamek continues to guzzle Vodka in between rounds you may have something.

The only thing special about Guinn is that he has sparred with Adamek as far as I can tell. To whose advantage that is would be pure guessing on my part. I do think guinn would get absolutely smoked by chambers or cunningham, so it stands to reason he may not win a round in this.

I like that NBC Sports is showcasing some good fighters. It's good for boxing. But I do find their commentary hateable. It's that corny Bryant Gumbel / Bob Costas type commentating. They're basically US homers and act like we're watching the olympics. BJ Flores is terrible. There's a reason why Lederman doesn't commentate and score rounds - very hard to do both.

I don't remember vodka being needed when he was flattened by Travis Walker, one of the most oafish and crudest heavies out there.

Folks, Guinn hasn't stopped any one of note since Grant and that was in 2003! Trust me, he ain't stopping Adamek.

I'm sorry, but this belief about Adamek's chin being bad just doesn't hold. Start from the fact that he's only been stopped once in his entire career (and that was a ref stoppage from punch accumulation from one of the hardest punchers in the game...so he's basically never been knocked out in his entire career) and you'd see Adamek's chin is pretty darn good, despite coming from light heavyweight, not running around the ring and engaging guys twice his size.

I think his recovery is very good.

But he's been rattled by three quarters of the heavyweights he's fought.... And among those that have hurt him (McBride, Walker) they have absolute **** delivery systems.

I'm saying its a bit of a concern because Guinn can throw sharp, hard punches.

Really was just an observation, and me voicing concern over potential out of the ring issues with Adamek, from the DUI to his promotional ****.

I like the guy, and his wars with Briggs are among my favorite fights.

People are just itching to get butthurt I guess. :bart

Only because you're over rating Guinn a bit. In the last 10 years, the man has done nothing but lose every time he steps up even slightly. I think this is more than a motivational issue for him. Having said that I do see some of your points and wouldn't mind putting 20 bucks on Guinn, given the nice odds.
