true. duran was a beast at 135 but everyone is beatable. i like duran over floyd at 135. i say that partly because of how much trouble castillo gave floyd at the weight. floyd would have a better chance at 147 imo.

you think that Floyd is mentally stronger than Duran? :huh

    WTF is this ****???

oh, because Duran walked away in the rematch against Leonard because all Leonard did was run like a ***** and fail to engage?

    right!

are you forgetting the fact that Duran fought EVERYBODY? even stepping way up in weight to fight much bigger fighters? what the **** has Floyd done other than dodge pretty much every big fight people wanted to see him in?

Duran would chop Floyd down. he doesn't have anything with which to keep Duran from making him his *****.

late stoppage or clear points win for the "hands of stone"

you don't think that Duran's win over Leonard is better than anything that Floyd has done?

I do think movement troubled Duran (Laing, De Jesus was not stationary, Leonard rematches, Camacho (thought that is way past prime)) and Floyd wouldn't be ridiculously outsized here.

It really wouldn't surprise me if it looked a little like Whitaker Chavez at times (a younger prime Floyd, of course, not now). I don't think Floyd would beat Hearns or Leonard, but Duran seems the one best suited from that elite welter period to be a victim of Floyd's movement. Benitez had a pretty easy night against Duran, honestly, and he was good at making a fighter waste motion, like Floyd.

No...you have durans Dick in your mouth, who the **** says ****, get the fukk out of here, Duran ain't ****, but the best at getting his ass whooped by the other top fighters in his era...and by the way has Pac recovered from getting flatlined by a 40 year old Jmm whom Floyd toyed with...

    Duran ain't **** now?

good enough to beat Leonard. good enough to have Leonard scared to engage in the rematch. good enough to lose by only one point against the Middleweight champ in Hagler. Duran was way past his best and 25 lbs out of his natural weight class. what does that say for the great Hagler then? Duran even gassed at the half way point, but Hagler still didn't look close to stopping him.

Hearns fought an even more past it Duran

hardly getting his Ass whooped. Hearns was the only one to be convincing. but are you surprised considering how far gone Duran was? plus, look at the size of Hearns compared to Duran.

    Duran is a legit ATG.

^^You don't have to talk up Duran, anyone that saw him fight and has an idea on his resume knows he's an ATG. There's many boxing pundits that have him firmly in the top 10 of all time P4P.

Having an ATG resume is a fantastic thing, but really wouldn't mean much in a fight against Floyd. Floyd was a terrific 2 way fighter in the lower weight classes and his defense is widely considered to be one of the very best of all time.

I could see either guy winning it with Durans aggressive style and fierce 1 punch KO power at 135 being neutralizers. But I'd still favor Floyd in a 15 round fight between them, to just dismiss the idea that he couldn't beat Roberto at 135 is silly. Floyd is taller, has about a 6-7 inch reach advantage, is a superior counterpuncher to Duran and he packed a punch in both hands at the lower weights. Floyd is an ATG and it's a bit much to constantly lambast the guy because of not taking on Pacman. WHo knows the exact reason why that fight wasn't made, it looks like both of them are at fault in that whole melee.

Duran fought some very good fighters at 135, but no one on FLoyd's level.
