    Canelo if he beats Mayweather

Otherwise nobody is really standing out, can't see anyone 'elite' at 140 or 147 atm...

Someone always eventually comes and takes over. There are guys like Broner, Garcia, Matthysse, Ward, Alvarez(even if he loses), Froch(still has a few years left despite his age) and others with high hopes/chances.

-if someone beats him, then that person

    -a new Heavyweight champion

-heavily promoted guys with big fan bases like Alvarez, Chavez Jr, and Broner

-the other elite ranked P4P fighters like Ward and Bradley

Wow, dude no way, Alvarez has just begun to hit the big time, after losing to floyd he will have a tuneup fight then lose again to a real 154 guy, or even worse as he gets older he will have to go up to 160 and then what the hell will he do with guys like GGG.
Ward is on the top of a short list. Also maybe GGG or Kovalez

Either Klitschkos would spark him. The man has no ability really to be on the list.

I agree, every undefeated Floyd has ever fought (2) has been a tailor made brawler. At least Canelo has some boxing ability and a size advantage. Now is a good opportunity to let others vie for top dog spotlight. Floyd has been a big disappointment to me in picking what I feel would have been the more competitive fights.

There are a lot of guys that can become great. Boxing does not need Alvarez. I can name 20 guys at least that could become great fighters in the next few years.
