As far as fighters at the top level who disappointed relative to their hype it is Bute and Khan all day. I'll vote for one of those two.

On a lower level Linares and Lemeiux are good shouts. Price and Proksa as well.

 

1. David Price

Brits claimed that both Klitschkos are ducking him. They said, Price is the better fighter with more punching power and a good infight boxer. They didn't want to admit that his chin was British glass and that he got dropped as amateur.

2. Grzegorsz Proksa

He won against a shot, past prime Sebastian Sylvester and Poles claimed he is the next Sergio Martinez. Just a cheap version and not even Top 20 worthy. He was struggling with Kerry Hope, GGG showed him where he belongs (definetly not in the box ring) and featherfisted Sergio Mora destroyed his career.

3. Andrzej Wawrzyk

Polaks claimed, he is the next big thing in boxing and better skilled than Szpilka.
Glass jawed, glass hearted and probably the worst HW boxer in the past 20 years. I am still wondering how Andreas Sidon could lose against this bum.
I hope Sidon gets a rematch and retires finally. Wawrzyks time is over before it started. Chicken dance against Bakhtov.

4. Hughie Fury

Brits claim he has better skills than Prime Mike Tyson and that he beats his record. I am not sure if it trolling or just a desperate attempt to hype a British boxer since Price was exposed like all Brits before and since their best British boxer is a Polak.

How the fook is a hypejob leaving the ring with a world f/n title after leaving a former world champion on his back.

There are weak titlists out there, but they passed all the tests to earn their titles.

11 ppl voting Bute. The guy has ONE loss. To a very potential ATG. 8-9 defenses of his world title don't matter I suppose.

And Khan....ppl voting for Khan as a hypejob.....just leave. The KID is a champion, and he is STILL winning big fights.

A hypejob is someone like Price and Harrison who were both heralded to be the next great HW champion. Yet they fall flat with any genuine Blevel fighter.

However, you can't vote for Audley in this poll, b/c he was a exposed long before 5 yrs ago. :rofl:rofl:rofl And his hype train only rolled on in jest.

No one from any nation hype Warwyk. Proxa had a little hype but wasnt a hypejob. And is still a top 20 MW despite his appalling performance against Mora.

I'm going to say David Price, You could also say Lemiuex. I cant call
guys that have won titles the biggest hypejobs, maybe overhyped but
not the biggest.

personally I thought linares would be future top 6/7 P4P fighter, most others I saw were crap compared to the hype
