Wladimir never fought the 2nd best fighter of his era. Difference between Floyd

    Wladimir and Floyd did not fight the 2nd best fighters of their era. The difference is that Mayweather have fought multiple elite level talents to make up for this... Wladimir has not.
    Yes we understand there is no 'elite' level opposition for Wladimir to fight outside of Vitali but the fact remains: Wladimir never fought the 2nd best fighter of his era... and have not proven himself against other elite level opposition because there is none available.
    We will never know if Wlad could have been the reigning champ that he is today if Vitali was not his brother. (Most people think that Vitali will KO Wlad and I agree)

    your saying wlad has not fought the 2nd best fighters of his era but there "is no number 2" ?

    The #2 is Vitali... who is actually the #1.. but since Wlad never fought Vitali.. he is perceived as the #1.

    Wlad may have not fought Vitali, but he's fought plenty of #3s. And every one of them he's fought, he's sent reeling back in the rankings.:yep

    floyd has fought mostly garbage fights against big name guys who were shot to ****. looks nice on a resume . much like Pat Lawlor having wins over Roberto Duran and Wilfredo Benetiz

    He fought #1, Chris Byrd in 2006 and won. Beat him in 2000 as well.

    He had already beaten Sam Peter when he became #2 after 2006.
