Maybe it can be chalked up to someone not being from a region with strong Catholic roots (Boston is riddled with the *******s) and therefore enjoying cloistered ignorance - but yeah, that is unintentionally hilarious. :rofl
I'm aware he hasn't done much, but it wouldn't be much of an upset if he had done anything noteworthy lately would it? I don't so much hold it against guys when get expertly timed by promotor, one week prior invites to wherever in Europe to pad the record of so and so heavy Joe who's actually had a training camp. This is getting pretty common in Germany and whereabouts sadly. Gerber, Pulev, Helenius. So on and so forth. Just general thoughts.
Yeah, I was raised catholic. New Englander yadda yadda. There was that, you know, several decade spanning... systematic and widespread ***ual abuse throughout the church. Being of any creed, race or religion isn't insurance against... anything. Your religion is a title, your actions are what shapes you as a person. The catholic churches actions as of late... Well...
he's actually slimmed down a bit, he says he weighs around 220, this is good news, because a 225 Adamek is so slow and sluggish it was painful to watch
Adamek 221 Guinn 243 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=EgXLltsAK4k#at=123 Chambers 196 Mchunu 199 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=R2SQTDOZTTc#at=36
221 is better....I would have prefered 217ish but I'll take it. Guinn looks like ****, like he didn't even prep for the fight. Adamek is going to box his ears off.
He doesn't look horrible, he definitely has looked better though. Eddie i'm real curious how he's gonna look at cruiserweight though.
stfu, chambers did not get robbed. He got chased down to cruiser weight by a former light heavyweight. :|
Not even close....... He's waiting on the WBA to take Potvetkins title from him when he's KOd in October and set up a fight between Adamek and Chagaev for the vacant title. He'll win his HW world title vs Chagaev and retire as a 3 weight world champ. Except we all will know what the WBA title means.:yep
What are you talking about? That was the most dominating one arm performance of all time (without exaggeration) atsch
I think you should check yourself into a clinic. He hurt his hand during the fight, during one of the exchanges, so this cannot be used as an excuse at all. Arreola also hurt his hand on Adamek's head and you didn't see him making any pathetic excuses for losing. All the judges had Adamek dominating the fight. Teddy Atlas had Adamek winning the fight. Poor, slick Chambers was chased down to cruiser weight, by a former light heavy, to earn his living. Poor Eddie just can't catch a break against white fighters. Where's Al Sharpton when you really need him?
The difference is Chambers schooled Adamek with just the one arm, while Arreola didn't. Flimsy comparison. Chambers would turn southpaw, land a right jab, quickly pivot and switch his lead foot, back to orthodox, quick right cross. I don't think you quite understand. He was completing 1-2 combos with the 1 and 2 coming from the same arm, with a positional change in between. I don't think you understand how incredible that is. It requires a huge disparity in skill between combatants for one to be able to pull that off. Chambers was doing it regularly, at will, all while making Adamek resemble a caveman on bath salts with his embarrassing misses.
90% of what Chambers threw hit Adamek's gloves. We learned that showboating and sticking out your tongue while landing a couple of punches per round, might impress a noob like AC Slator, but it doesn't go over too well with the judges.
