Just putting things in perspective. Giving Calzaghe the hardest fight he had with a broken hand says a lot!

Take it easy keyboard warrior. I like both guys and my opinion was that Froch won the first fight. It was a close fight and I feel the only reason Kessler got the nod was because of the venue.

No need to go ape$hit over my opinion, just relax and enjoy your day.

Kazakhstan is Central Asia not Europe.

  9. it's right next to Russia, it's partly in europe and it's very close to the border so you can just about accept them calling it europe, this is a boxing forum not a geography forum, does anyone really care, it's petty stuff.

If this is not a geography forum, talking strictly to boxing, Golovkin competed for the Asian Games not the European ones. But you are talking to geography, in geography most part of Russia is considered Asia, too not politically wich is Europe, not Kazakhstan which belongs to Asia. Also, geographically, Kazakhstan it's clearly central Asia, never has been considered Europe, in fact is a very far and exotic country for the europeans, historically (very dificult to travel and comerciate, limited and dangeorus rutes) and even now in modern times is viewed here as something very strange and unknown.

Golovkin, as from a remote asian country very far from Europe, it's(geographically and pollitically) of course not considered an european citizen. If he was he would be the no. 1 p4p european boxer, but he is the p4p no. 2 asian one (for now)...

  12. GGG's father is Russian, Mother from South Korea and he grew up in Kazachstan what makes him into a Russian with South Korean heritage and German ancestors, since a high population in Kazakhstan are ethnic German resettlers. That's the reason he decided to come to Germany and train and live here in his early career. His residence is still Stuttgart.

So yes, GGG is definetly a European with some Asian influences. And he is Christian.
