Just watched a video where Mayway said he may fight on past the 5 fight deal. If he does that, he will eventually lose by knockout. He doesn't have the Cotto frame that will allow him to withstand punishment, so KO is what he will suffer if he doesn't respect the fact that the game will not be loyal to him forever He says this at 12.55 youtube.com/watch?v=IqNOnjWNtks
he doesn't need the 'cotto frame', he has the perfect recipe for fighting into his 40's just like Hopkins has - excellent ring generalship, excellent defense and a lifelong devotion to staying healthy and in shape if I were a betting man, i'd say he will fight into his 40's and will get beaten
People say Floyd has shown signs of slowing down and aging but I just don't see it. I agree, he is like Bernard, Bernard at 36 was a beast.
If you've seen Floyd train, you know he could very well fight into his 40's. He takes care of himself better than most 20 year old boxers.
Floyd wouldn't have any problems with fighting into his 40's I mean he trains hard and he takes care of himself. I can see him fighting and winning for a LONG time.
you have got to be kidding me right? since when did Cotto who is past his prime and almost shot while being younger than Mayweather displayed Floyd's athletism and defence?... Come on Son...atsch
How gullible are you people? No one believes a word Mayweather says. Remember it wasn't too long ago he tearfully announced his permanent retirement :rofl He said he could not take how people gave him no respect & even HBO was against poor little Floyd. If Mayweather ever fights anyone with a chance of beating him on a level playing field, & loses Look for him to do a Hamed & self implode. Heck if he loses that 0 he'll likely commit Hari Kari :hi:
Somebody asked Floyd about that and he said he was just having fun with the crowd and he's not that serious about fighting past 49-0
The greatest of fighters almost always eventually succumb to the quicker faster style fighter. Hopkins for all his know how cant handle speed and quickness even when he was in top form.
