GGG wants to fight 4 or 5 times a year. Good luck finding 4 or 5 opponents better than Stevens. Guys like Ishida, Proksa, and Rosado weren't exactly world beaters.

    :good

    Exactly...why not?

Why are so many getting their panties in a bunch?

It's like they are from Kazakstan or some shi.t...so much hate for an American fighter from so-called Americans.

Not someone with Showtimes power. That's one of the reasons I want this fight made. I'm a big GGG fan, but I wanna see how he deals with someone who can bang.

Good fight, at the very least there should be some fireworks. Only thing is Stevens sounded a little coy in the post fight, but it is Loeffler that was talkin' bout Showtime so I'm hoping it happens.

It's possible Stevens' team see a better future in taking the WBC route where he could line himself up for a Martinez mando in a fight or two.

I tend to agree with what your saying, but Stevens had only been beaten as a SMW. He was much stockier then, and sluggish. The losses he endured where to solid fighters. Say what you will about Brinkley, but the guy was a force in the division when he beat Stevens. And we all know styles make fights.

Stevens wasnt KOd by Primera. He was TKOd. And he wasnt being dominated by any stretch. He also came right back and avenged that loss.

I like the fight b/c Stevens appears willing to get in there. Not too many these days do appear willing. GGG doesnt want to fight at 168 just yet. And Chavez Jr doesnt seem keen on draining anymore.

Stevens vs GGG seems like a perfect matchup. Both are coming on strong the last 2 yrs and both made serious statements to the division in their latest fight. Quillin wants no part of either. I personally like Stevens and would rather see him get Quillin, but he may have to go thru hell vs GGG to get that easier fight.

I dont see Stevens winning this fight, hes too wild with his shots, and last night, he was just winging wild shots and Roman walked right into both the KD shots. Something GGG would certainly not do. However, the numbers for this fight make sense. And it's a good fight for both guys.:think

Stevens is not wild...if you don't like the Ameican fighter just say so....but to call him wild is dumb.

    Remember

GGG hasn't fought anybody that can punch:deal

He didn't sound coy to me.

Watch how fast he signs the fight if a contract is offered to him..

Golovkinis 31 and has done NOTHING.

His resume is that of a 21 y/o prospect.

I am not interested in the fight in question, but when has Golovkin showed a great chin? Ive not seen him in with a massive puncher who has caught him clean

Im not saying Stevens is wild. Read my post you knucklehead. I said he was throwing wildly last night and Roman plodded directly into the shots.

Also.....I was pretty direct when I said I like Stevens. Always have MOF. I was pulling for him in the Dirrel fight when everyone was saying he was gonna get starched.

As for Golovkin not having fought anyone that can punch:huh:huh:huh Ummm.....Rosada is generally considered a puncher. Macklin is a far better puncher than anyone Stevens has faced. Milton Nunez may not be a world level MW, but his power was never debated in S America when he was steamrolling his competition.

And it's hard to gauge Stevens power really. Yeah he's bulldozed a couple solid B/C level guys....much the same that GGG has done.

But take a guy like Simon.....When Abraham was generally considered the most feared puncher at MW, Simon banged with him shot for shot and showed a durablilty most thought would break down. Simon was expected to give GGG some quality rds, much the same that Roman was thought to do vs Stevens. However, the result was same. A devastating KO to the normally durable fighter.

As for liking US fighters or not......Im a fightfan born in Chicago. I live in Ky now and have several fav fighters from the US. But....I aint blinded by nationalism or race. I like quality and personality. Give it a shot and you may just learn some things about the game.:-(

Leave personallity to the bi.tches...You're not a damn woman...this is boxing.

    Rosado had decent power..........at 154.

Macklin can't punch anywhere near as hard as Andre Dirrell.
He couldn't even stop Felix Sturm.

Sturm was KTFO by washed-up featherduster Javiar Castillejo:rofl

You must really love GGG to try to make Macklin into puncher.

Yeah. Get it. You think GGGs **** and you're gonna be overjoyed when he gets beaten. Furthermore you're so concerned for the feelings of your fellow boxing enthusiasts that you feel the need to save us from the impending emotional cataclysm of realising that GGG is actually human.

You ever think about just enjoying the sport - trying to appreciate great fights and great fighters?

Which Boxers do you like then, Mr P. Maybe there's some common ground, you surely didn't start posting on a boxing site 'cos you hate boxers?

Just because I'm not impressed with a 31 y/o fighter that has Macklin as his biggest win doesn't mean I have anything against the guy.

MANY of the same guys that like GGG are always shi.tting on Floyd and Broner for not taking chances despite the fact they make Golovkin look like a rank coward.

    It's the hypocrisy I don't like..:deal

If 154lb guys could knock golovkins head back and bust his face up, then it would be interesting to see how he takes a shot from a vicious puncher like stevens who is a hungry fighter right now. Even if golovkin ko's him it would be good to see him against a skilled puncher like stevens with speed, confidence, and power in both hands.
