Back in 2008, I was picking Povetkin to beat Wladimir. Now, I'm not sure if I should pick Povetkin. Povetkin has the hometown advantage and can fight on the inside if Klitschko decides to hold. This isn't going to be an easy fight unless Povetkin is totally lost and pummeled with jabs and right hands from the outside all night. In order for Povetkin to win this he needs to get on the inside and land as many body shots as possible to tire Wladimir in the late rounds. It all depends on how Povetkin handles the jabs and right hands early, if he's lost like Peter and the rest then this should be an easy night for Wladimir. I'll pick Wladimir by decision but if it goes the distance it could go either way.

IMO povetkin is made for wlad. no head movement...hell, not much movement at all. Povetkin will be fighting wlads left arm and jab all night trying to get inside, which he wont be able to, and wont even see those right hand bombs

IMO Povetkin will have the movement for the first 2-3 rounds until he gets hit and frustrated that nothing is working then he will revert back to the old povetkin where wlad will break him down until the KO comes in 7-8 rounds

wlad is a better boxer, stronger, better defense, better footwork, better ring intelligence. faster .. will be a long night for povetkin

  3. Wladimir knocks Povetkin out in rouund 7.

Wlad needs to gather rounds, then RTL can make some money with advertisment between the rounds.

I am very curious about what will happen with Povetkin's inside fighting. Wlad always interrupts inside fighting with his clinching, but how will that work in Russia? With the refs and stuff.
Besides that, Povetkin is tailormade for Wlad. I give him not much of a chance.
Povetkin gets hit a lot. Even a crude puncher like Huck gave him hell and was catching him at will. Also a way past it Chagaev was able to wobble him. Man, Povetkin has a solid skillset, but look how he did against Chagaev, look how he did against Chambers, Bostice or Byrd. Wlad always fought the superior versions of these fighters and still beat them with ease and he beat those guys more convincingly than Povetkin did.

    Klitschko would destroy Povetkin.

Sorry if this comes off the wrong way, but if anyone is picking Povetkin, they must be trolling. The guy is flabby as hell and was outboxed by a CW. Wlad easy TKO mid fight.

Povetkin is slow, Has no head movement and comes in "out of shape."

Wlad will just jab him to death and the right hand is going to put a finish to it sooner rather than later...

I think Wlad pulls off the mid-late round stoppage.

I like both of these fighters a lot, among my top 10 or 15 or so active. I give Povetkin a 12% chance on my most pro Povetkin day ever and the best day where he comes into the weigh in with a more carved chest than Wladimir and I have a dream the night before about Povetkin winning and I get drunk before I give my final "percentage of winning" ratios.

    :good

I see it the same way. Povetkin will not be able to avoid Wlad´s jab. Povetkin is vulnerable for jabs.

I think you're both off. The end comes at 2:49 of round 6.

Pov's corner will throw in a towel during the ref's count.

Can't really say if Pov will be cut or not.
Sorry I can't be more exact at this time.

Vlad will take his time, outbox Povetkin, set him up and knock him out, probably in the mid rounds, or if he wanted to he could knock him out early, but Vlad will take his time and set Povetkin up.................

knock out in under 7 rounds....povetkin gets hit alot.his head and foot movement is terrible.his punch resistance isnt great and he isnt strong enough to cope with wlads strength..tho this could all go out the window if povetkin turns up drugged up to his eye balls.then itll last abit longer..
