Looks like Stevens has a euro-*** shook.
You're already hoping he ducks GG so the fight won't happen.:deal

    Hey Jethro

GGG is the one fighting smaller guys
    Ouma....Rosado...Ishiida...all jr middles.

Stevens has been at 168 fighting bigger guys.

We want to see the fight because we are tired of reading Superman threads about GG, and he beat some clown who had no business in there with him or beat a guy who couldn't take a body shot. We want to see GG in with a threat. Stevens at least has a punchers chance.

There we go then. Both the sceptics and the fans choice GGG vs Showtime.

Why not, Curtis seems to be the best guy out there who actually wants to fight him

He got hit way too much last night tho to deliver his punches, swinging wildly wide open to the counter, I think Golovkin probably puts him to sleep in the first few rounds

Hmmm. 'Cept Saul Roman's a 154 career fighter. Does that make Showtimes' KO less impressive to you?

We want to see the fight because GGG is not tested. Golovkin is ORDINARY as well. He needs to get his ass in the ring and fight Stevens and earn some of the hype he is getting. You don't want GGG to fight Stevens is because you are scared he will lose. Plus you racist ****s keep claiming everyone is ducking GGG. Well Stevens called him out so if the fight does not happen its GGG that is dunking.

Actually the only resistance to Stevens is cause it's a step down from Macklin, not really a credible fight if better challengers were willing. But they're not so it'll probably be Stevens, if his team can be convinced:

    American
    fun to watch
    no other real options

I guess I'd like to see it but I agree if the point of this thread is to remind people that Curtis Stevens is not a top 10 fighter nor is he close to one, really.

Good question, maybe there are people out there that wanna see someone die in the ring.

Stevens doesn't have the tools for it and there's no way HBO is going to approve him as an opponent.

OK time will tell if he is a step down. But GGG fans claim everyone is ducking him. Well Stevens is calling him out. If he is the next all time great he needs to step up and take this fight. Just like Pulev was claiming everyone was ducking him. I will give Pulev credit as long as he fights Thompson. GGG has no excuse not to take this fight. I disagree I think Stevens is a step up from limited Macklin. But if you are right its a chance for GGG to earn his hype with a easy fight.

As you can see, it's not team GGG that's putting the breaks on this, it's Team Stevens. The guy said it last night, his promoter and trainer are not onboard yet. Team GGG is.

Stevens might be better than Macklin, but his credentials sure don't show it. None of these guys that call out GGG are good fights, just passable. Stevens, Rosado, Vera, Mora, not a top 10 middle between them. I'm not even sure Stevens is the best of the bunch. He was stopped by a total bum (check his boxrec, it's shocking), and badly outclassed by Contender also ran Brinkley. At least Mora won the Contender.

i honestly don't know why they want the fight. Stevens is a nobody...

oh no, wait. i know why they want the fight... he's American and is supposedly going to either test GGG, or beat him.

never going to happen. Gennady would break a piece of him off. pointless fight.

GGG should get the highest ranked fighter that's willing to face him. he's 31, he needs to get moving.

Ya and when GGG destroys this "threat" he's gonna be accused of beating up some bum who was never **** to begin with...Just how people are talking about Macklin after GGG demolished him, even tho before they were saying Macklin was going to be GGG's first real test, and will even expose him.

Either way, bring this fight on, another highlight reel "Good Boy'ing" job by GGG is always great to watch. :deal
