Cleverly will have his own personal referee and judges to protect him. They will try to cheat Kovalev. Watch and see...........

I expect Kovalev to do a number on Cleverly, home field advantage or not.

There is two ways this fight can go. And just for the record I feel this will be fight of the year if it goes more than 3 rounds. If Clev can stand his power for the 1st round its game on, but people need to stop saying the Welshman 'hasn't tasted his power'. Matter of fact, Kovalev has never met Clevs pressure and pace.

The puncher will always tire and when that happens if Clev is standing, which I feel he will due too the nature of his whiskers, then he will trash him on points I feel. Its like the nonsense with Curtis Stevens and GGG. Just because he bangs does not mean he beats the better boxer.

Kovalev is a combination puncher with footspeed. No chance for featherfisted Cleverly to keep him at bay.

Curiously the poll results, after a little see-sawing are looking very close to the betting odds.

I've been going through Clev's back catalogue and there is too many struggles on there for me think he simply outboxes Kovalev. Admittedly his most recent fights have been pretty much shut-outs, which may reflect on his greater maturity and experience - but I'm not sure how he's gonna cope when Kovalev puts the pressure on.

To be fair it's also hard to tell how Kovalev will respond if Clev lasts into the later rounds, as he is obviously unproven in the long haul, but it's quite apparent he will have trained for 12 rnds (altitude training and conditioning at Big Bear, and Klimas says specifically he's training not to expect the KO) - we'll just have to see how that translates into a full octane fight.

I favour Kovalev by TKO in the early to mid rounds, but if Cleverly lasts through to 12 it's hard to see how he does it without earning the decision.

Indeed. The last pretty good one was Dawson vs Pascal from 3 years ago, but the last one I was this excited about is a long, long time ago. Probably all the way back to the end of the Slappy Joe era.

    Cleverly very clearly and easily.
I think it may shock people how easily Nathan wins this one

I was shocked that people were excited about that one, I could only see Pascal winning that one and didnt think Dawson would win. Saying that I can only see Nathan winning this one, but this one has a good puncher involved

How well does Kovalev take a shot? His legs are very skinny. Vince and Waren definitely know something we dont.
One thing I do know is Kovalev can only throw an onslought of power shots in bursts.
When he lets down , Clev is going to be all over him and that is going to take its toll on krusher.
