Is Canelo's punching power overrated?

He's got power, but I don't think it's anything special. Most of his knockouts came from smaller guys. He demolished Josesito Lopez just on size alone.

Trout was a great victory though. He put him down, but he didn't do much after that. I actually think Trout won the rest of that KD round.

 

Mosely has said after the Canelo fight that Floyd hits just as hard as Canelo

 

Trout was dropped by David Lopez
Vanes dropped him in the amatuers.

Canelito is not a puncher..

 

Baldomir would quickly disagree with Shane .

 

Baldomir had a TITLE when Floyd fought him.
He was retired and not close to being in shape when Canelito fought him.

Floyd hit baldomir AT WILL and won a shut out . Yet None of his punches Made Baldomir even blink .

Canelo knocked Baldomir flat on his face on the canvas and won a KO. Bigg difference in pop between the 2 .

Even the bigger 6FT1 Vernon forrest (RIP) who would tower over Canelo could not put Baldomir away .

Baldomir was RETIRED ...he came out for a payday against Alvarez.If you can't see what that to do with anything ...you sir don't know squat.

Floyd fought an ACTIVE fighter...a Champion...he didn't fight a bloated shell of Baldomir...nor did Forrest.

Forrest didn't fight an out of shape retired Carlos Baldomir...if he did he would have planted Baldo in his face a LOT SOONER THAN CANELITO did.:deal
