Mayweather would put Pacquiao into retirement. Besides the personal beef with Bob Arum, Bob also knows that Mayweather would take Manny to school. And that is why the fight has never, and will never be made. Bob knows it's a guaranteed loss for Pacquiao, and it wouldn't be close either.

Besides which, Mayweather would never agree to an even split now, nor should he. Pacquiao should have taken the 50/50 deal with the 14 day cutoff for May 2010 if they really wanted that fight. They didn't, and signed a fight with a fighter coming off a loss in only a few days of negotiation. (Clottey, the ultimate & shameless duck move) Case closed, fight is never happening.

Theres a VIDEO on YOUTUBE where FLOYD HIMSELF is admitting that he is SCARED FOR HIS HEALTH .

In that same video hes tells people to go ahead and call him a coward "But im a rich coward... " What kind of statement is that ?? .

God forbid Manny came out saying everything Floyd said in that vid and the whole boxing world would be out to get his ass ! Myself included .

the real problem is that the fighters are allowed to write their own rules

'world titles' are watered down versions of what they mean in other sports, so fighters like Floyd and pacman (who are bigger than the federations anyway and they don't need the leverage that a belt or two can bring to the table) can do as they please

you also have 'titlists', predominantly in Europe, who get a belt but never get a US profile, international fanbase or court the networks, who get rich doing exactly what pac and Floyd do but on a much smaller scale

casual fans don't know their claim to being a world champion is a bogus one, because as I said, every other sport only sells the real deal - world champion means exactly that in every other sport but boxing

 

One things certain is if Manny looks good & disposes of Rios like I think he will you wont see Mayweather for dust. I think Showtime are regretting the deal with Floyd already

What difference is there in "titlists in Europe & guys like Mayweather jr Dirrelll etc who wont fight outside their hometown let alone go abroad lol

 

for the same reason great ball players go to the US....$$$ and if you make it there you are guaranteed to pit yourself against the best, and gain the recognition and accolades from all

nobody with the backing of US networks and who has a strong international fanbase and who fights in the US and does well misses out on big fights

if im the best soccer player in the world and I play my whole career in my home country of malta, for example (not that it is), the only people who will think im the best are people from malta....because I never played against the best

calzaghe was the exception to that rule because the SMWs weren't saleable here (new division, no significant americans for the networks to sink their teeth into), and a big part of that was because calzaghe's biggest challengers were also European

Bradley finally had pac figured out and timed in the last 3 rounds very similarly to how JMM fought him in their third fight. Bradley takes a clear but close UD in the rematch. He won't fight Bradley.
