2lbs? Approximately 1.5 from his last fight? This is one hell of a dumb post.

This is an even dumber post. Please explain how Canelo will be dehydrated? I'd like to know how you know this for a fact. Go ahead.

Come on man, why would Floyd even bother doing it if it's not going to have an effect on Canelo? It would be a pointless exercise.

Are you implying that every catchweight hurts a fighter? Did you think Cotto was dehydrated against Pacquiao?

This is a excellent fight. Many mexicans (I'm mexican so not talking down on mexicans) will be upset @ the lack of action, this will be a boxing fans fight, not a all out war. Canelo is a student in trainning with great potential but @ this stage in his career he will be out classed. I just can't see canelo brawling or attempting to brawl, he is a smart boxer & knows brawling is not the way to beat floyd. At this point in his career floyd is still far to sharp & moves to much to allow canelo to land his flurrys. I see canelo winning a respectable 4-5 rounds. Im going for canelo but i doubt canelo has the knowledge @ this point to outbox the master. I see this about a 60/40 in favor of floyd. I still think it will be semi close because canelo has power to gain floyds respect. I can see canelo landing a few flurries & powershots, maybe even stunning floyd. But floyd will cruise to a win on points.

True boxing fans win on this one, hope canelo suprises us & takes the win but my money would have to be on floyd.

Another important factor is Canelo's "O". If there is any favoritism in judges scoring of this fight it will only be slight, I'm thinking it will pretty much be called straight up.

His 0 and age. If it's a close 50/50 fight there's a solid chance it goes for Alvarez based on that.

I also see "out boxed" thrown around a lot. Canelo does not need to outbox Floyd to win the round. Not trying to be rude or pompous but, this is not the Oylmpics or scored Compubox. A round given does not simply come down to who out landed who, it's who out hurt who, if what Canelo lands is deemed more significantly damaging, he should get the round.

Floyd not at his best weight either? Why should the P4P king give give way any advantage. Should he fight Lucas/Garcia at 145 to give them more an advantage?

Sorry man, but this is nowhere near a 50/50 fight. If anything I'd say it's something like 90/10 in Floyd's favor. Canelo has pretty quick hands, but him trying to counterpunch Floyd is a recipe for disaster because Floyd has faster hands and feet, plus he rarely gives you openings to counter. And when Canelo doesn't get the openings, his workrate drops dramatically as it did against Alfonso Gomez and Austin Trout. Couple that with the weight drain and Floyd fighting at his safety-first best due to Canelo's size and power, and most likely, we'll get a very boring fight with Floyd UD written all over it.
