Ive come back before but that was the perfect storm. They were fights I took time to study, were closish type matchups, and I got lucky with the Molina KO. I don't see that happening here. Damnit!
I was laughing at the 'close' part; you asked for my opinion and completely disregarded it. :yep I really think it will be Maysonet all over again, or worse. :thumbsup
Actually, how was Tolmajyan vs. Maysonet classified in Kirk's terms? :think Two judges got it right, very wide for the Ghost, but Dr. Jen-Kin inexplicably had it 77-75. Does one goofball judge with a close scorecard make it count as "close", or does it need to be close on two? Or does it need to be a MD or SD to count as close the way Kirk's defines close?
Kirks picks two out of three scorecards that look fair. So for example if we have 118-111 118-110 and 115-113 , two are wide so those to are picked as valid. If two are close and one is wide the close is picked as valid decision. :good
Ugh, maybe - we'll find out in a few days. The performance against Farmer was ghastly. Sloppy, amateurish, just downright terrible. It will take a lot for him to reverse that impression, for me.
I have a question, I dont know if anyone can even answer it but might as well ask it. So someone had made a comment about Wlad surpassing Larry Holmes in terms of being the 2nd longest reigning champ. And they said 'Larry actually had challengers'. So my question is, not knowing boxing history all that well.... but knowing juuuuust enough to know who some names are when I look through his record, just who are all these worthy challengers to his title that he defeated because Ill be honest I dont see whos on his resume during his title reign that makes Wlads resume look horrible. Im not saying Wlads is better, but Im just curious if someone was going to make a list of Larrys best challengers during his title reign (so not Mercer, as Im pretty sure that was after) who they would be. I wish Luf still came about hes got a lot of knowledge on the heavyweights.
