Call the BBBofC for all required info, you will need to go in front of your area board and if granted a licence they will send you on a coarse

Nice seems positive. I think i will quit football coaching at the end of the season and pursue boxing training. Always my number one sport and intrigues me more.

Will just start off at grassroots and try work my way up.

    Good luck Unique :good.

Every trainer needs to start somewhere, in all sports.

Look at Mourinho, wasn't a player but a master studier of the game. Hard work pays off.

    Go for it.

The area boards if you don't have required experience may ask you to work as a second whilst you gain experience in your gym

    Defo mate!. Cheers :good.

That sounds more then reasonable. Compare this to football coaching and seems lot more accessible then the beautiful game which is massively closed shop in coaching terms.

Have you had any am experience coaching mate?

It would be great to oversee a figther as a coach and its something i would love to do ... but i am miles off the technical or pt side of it i feel ... which are equally important i believe

    Good luck !

Done pads with few people over last few years but as i said in my initial post i'd go to grassroots level (AM) and work way up to pro trainers license if i ever felt i was worthy of such a standing and position in sport.

    Thanks :good.

Its Harder to qualify for a Amateur Coach, than a Pro Coach, True.

ABA is a pretty thorough course.

Ive heard from an amateur trainer a pro license is just a day course, pretty much pay the cash and get it.

Thats true to an extent but the area board decide if you've had the required experience to go on the day coarse

Probably, late 60s Boxing was getting bad press on Safety. So the Amateurs improved, for safety reasons, plus to distance themselves from the Pros, who were getting stick, plus there was a section wanting it Banned. Amateurs did something about it, where the Pro side went into a Shell. Its only recently they have decided to do something about it. About time too.
