Wow, this would be an epic war...But it would only last a couple of rounds..Cooney had the better jab, reach and the crippling left to the body, plus the better chin..I like Morrison, but he would lose this one, but not without some bombs thrown both ways..

Agreed. In a fight like this, with two bombers going at it, the guy with the better chin usually wins, and that's Cooney.

 

Not so sure about that. Cooney gets a lot of crap but the guy could fight he just had idiots for managers and wasn't properly developed.

Do you think Quarry or Morrison could go 13 rounds with Holmes? I don't.

Cooney had huge potential that was just never developed. Same could be said for Morrison but he was more further developed than Cooney ever got.

I would go with Cooney over Morrison. Cooney had savage power, a fast Jab, was awkward and could finish when he had someone hurt every single time. I just think Morrison's stamina and Chin would be his undoing.

Cooney is slightly underrated, i think hed **** Morrison up.

Foreman fought them both and i think he said Cooney was one of the hardest punchers he ever fought.
