I don't see why Danny doesn't have a chance, this is a good fight!

All this talk about Garcia's left hook. It's okay, nothing special. I sense a lot of false hope in the dude. He is decent, but the real deal at 140 is Matthysse. Garcia and his fans are going to learn that the hard way. After this fight, Garcia will fight the winner of Cano/Theopane.

By decision, maybe, if he can last.

I'm seeing a lot of picks for Garcia to KO Matthysse, and that just isn't happening, I don't think. If there is a KO it will be the other way.

GOLDEN BOY RESCHEDULES GARCIA-MATTHYSSE PRESS TOUR

The Danny Garcia and Lucas Matthysse press tour that was scheduled to start momentarily was rescheduled. According to Richard Schaefer, Lucas is in the "boonies" in Argentina and didn't want to break camp. The press tour had stops in New York, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. Now the stops will be New York and Philadelphia on August 22, and then on August 23 they hit Los Angeles to round out the 3 city event.

Well. Garcia is the best fighter that Matthyse has ever fought. So there is always a chance he is able to do what no one else has done.

Total fights 26, Wins 26, Wins by KO 16, and this the super killer machine with the most powerfull left hook on the universe? GTO!!!

61% of Ko's and people are trying to sell this wannabe like THE MONSTER, I cant see why.

Yes, but I have a pretty good idea of Garcia's power and of Matthysse's chin and the equation just doesn't say to me: Garcia by KO.

Of course, Garcia also has a very good chin but not on Matthysse's level (nor is his power) which is why the door is open - or at least ajar - for a KO that way.

Wouldn't you agree that Garcia has the best combination of speed, power and accuracy out of anyone that Matthyse has ever faced?

If so then it is more likely that he will be able to land a hard shot that Matthyse doesn't see coming.

Not saying it is going to happen. But he has the best chance of doing it?

Sure, it's possible - but you know what's a lot more possible? That Matthysse - who has the best power & accuracy (obviously we'll leave out speed, as that simply doesn't apply here :yep) of anyone Garcia has faced - times a fat wide looping Garcia hook with a straight bomb harder than anything Garcia has ever felt. :deal

Garcia is smart. He wont stand in there and trade like he did against other fighters. He knows how hard Matthyse hits and will not fall into the same traps that Peterson did.

But i do think that Matthyse will grind him down at some point.

Of course. This isn't like some type of showcase execution type fight (probably).

But I do expect a Matty KO somewhere down the line.

    Hell no

It's been 3 years now, but the Judah that Matthysse fought had faster hands, accuracy and power. Matthysse ate Judah's best punch, that he didn't see coming, and just smiled like it tickled. Garcia does not have fast hands. He may have a bit of timing, but fast hands is not the way to describe him.

Garcia a plodding counter-punching slugger who fights like he's stuck in mud, and has no head movement whatsoever. And when has garcia ever boxed smart?
