It's a tough sport man. Quillin is undefeated champ, with GBP, American, and he made 340k for his last fight. His opponent made a measly 100k. He just offered Rosado 55k. Does that put things into context?
Stevens obviously wants a semi cash out type pay day...a fight with ggg win or lose will take something out of him and I highly doubt he'll be able to accumulate another pay day anywhere close to what he's being offered or what he can potentially max out for
The game is the game. HE was offered a VERY good purse relative to his record. He balked. GGG should just hunt down Ward now and get a fight that will be a top PPV -boxer vs puncher..
Not sure where you're going with that. GBP got banned from HBO for such deals, Berto being the poster child for overpayment. But even then Berto was a 2x champ, ranked top 10 forever, with many HBO dates. Donaire was top 5 p4p, 4 division unified champ. Curtis Stevens is a guy with 0 top 10 wins in any division, and some really bad losses. Show me another guy with his credentials making 300k+
300K to get beat up by Golovkin?? Stevens should try get a few wins under his belt on NBC and maybe get a fight on with Quillin who he actually stands a chance against. Smart move by Stevens.

Oh so now you're talking about GGG being underpaid? I see, so all the more reason not to expect a better offer for Stevens. Not that it is bad, it's extremely good for a guy with his credentials regardless of what GGG is getting. But it's no secret GGG is not paid his market value. That's why HBO likes him so much, he just wants to knock fools out. Best bang for the buck in boxing. Works out for GGG too, while he's underpaid, it's still 10x more than what he was getting before HBO
It is the same exact offer that Macklin got. And Macklin is a more accomplished fighter than Stevens. Macklin was robbed vs Sturm in Germany and gave Sergio Martinez hell. Take the offer or STFU
