Prediction thread - Nathan Cleverly vs Sergey Kovalev

To me its a foregone conclussion, Nathan Cleverly fights in the slick European style and will win in convincing fashion.
I think Nathan will come out and start throwing fast combinations landing at will.
Nathan may have to take a big shot, but has a sound chin and will not find Kovalevs power a problem.

Cleverly couldnt get top 10 rated Hopkins, top 10 rated Braehmer lost his title for not facing Nathan, top 10 rated Murat lost his 0 to Nathan, top 10 rated Bellew lost his 0 to Nathan, WBA LHW champ Shumenov didnt face Nathan and next he is facing top 10 rated Kovalev
    So who you got?

I say Cleverly very clearly no problems at all, and it will become apparent why Nathan is the best LHW in the world and avoided.

    Cleverly wins by dominant UD.

    He's an excellent boxer.

Cool. I just get so tired of people giving slam dunk predictions without being held accountable. You post strong for Cleverly but aren't sure who you're betting on?

On the one hand, I understand that half of the game in any sport are the marks, but then there are fights like this where I think it is genuinely close - I actually bet Kovalev already at perfectly square odds. May bet more if I see a good line change. But I still think of it as 55/45.

So here we have a guy saying it's Cleverly easily, and we'll see if that's the case. Good luck.

Sorry I misunderstood what you meant. I will be betting on Cleverly to win, just not sure how much yet

Kovalev by knockout inside 6, if it goes later than that, Cleverly will most likely take the decision

    A paradox :p. ..

No, but I think I know what he means. I would actually describe it as high IQ boxing. You win rounds and get TKOs. At the end of the fight you didn't necessarily dominate on speed or power, but you brought the fight and won rounds. I like it, I just don't think it's pulled off in this particular matchup.

Kovalev IMO will win this by TKO in mid rounds.
