When someone like Stevens, after all his talk, rejects a career-high payday to fight Golovkin, that shows you the trouble he has getting guys to step into the ring with him.

 

3G are offering him good money too. 3G needs to stay busy and all his best options are not available until next year

stevens can sell this fight and its a good fight for both teams...if stevens wants it

No, I can't think of any good reason why Top Rank didn't put Pavlik in with a 14-fight novice like Golovkin, who had nothing but a good amateur record and a little buzz with hadcore fans. We know how adventurous Arum always was with Chavez Jr, so it's a bit of a shock they didn't put im in the ultimate high-risk/low-reward with an unknown Golovkin.

Sturm and N'Kijam seemed very eager to fight GGG too. I'm starting to think this all is his fault. Other fighters are clearly willing to face him, so I can't figue out why he hasn't fought a slew of big names.
