He's almost certain to win because he's just that good. Everyone he's faced has had the opportunity to either knock him out or convincingly win more rounds than him and they didn't do it... In or outside of Vegas.

You are the one making excuses my friend not me. Let me see you explain the difference in Mosely's performances. He was a non stop punching machine against a weight drained demoralized Tony Margarito. Just like he was against Oscar when he beat him & was caught juicing. Mosely had to be clean against Floyd and believe me I think it showed.
Mayweather earned less against Baldomir that6 was a fact & anyway didn't Floyd claim titles mean nothing to him? Didn't he say fans opinion of him mean nothing?? He said he was only in it for the $$$$$$$$$$$ MONEY $$$$$$$$$$$$$

  3. This right here.

I don't hays Floyd at all, and for the record he beats Manny

But when he retired in 2007 did he think beating Hatton made him an ATG?

Floyd really shot himself in the foot by wanting to rematch Oscar on 2008 but couldn't fight Cotto at that time :-(

  4. I don't hate*** Floyd

    Damn auto correct

Ok now let me ask you for an unbiased answer to these questions>>>

Can you say in all honestly that Joe Cortez did not take away what chance Ricky Hatton had against Floyd??? That was one on the most blatantly biased pieces of officiating I have ever seen. To be honest I wouldn't have been surprised to see Cortez hi Hatton himself at times.
    Once again Do you think the result of the Floyd - Ortiz bout would have been the same had Ortiz cold ****ed Floyd like a coward??? Of course not You know it I know it Everyone knows it;
I honestly do not know how Floyd can consider such a punk move a KO win

    Keep it civil gentleman.

This thread has more legs than I thought.

Just to reiterate my original point and question.

What is Mayweather doing that makes him the #1 fighter when the opponents he has beaten have been beaten by other people as well and in most cases more decisively so.

I don't see anyone advocating Trout, Maidana and Lopez to be on any P4P lists.

Floyd doesn't believe he'd have beaten Manny otherwise h'd have fought him.
t took a tag tam of F loyd & Cortez to demoralize & beat Hatton.

Floyd didn't want Cotto in 20o8 because Margarito hadn't destroyed him yet

I don't really see the point in arguing Baldomir over Margarito, at the time Baldomir was coming off an upset win over the LINEAL CHAMP. Margarito didn't get his first REAL win til 2 yrs later vs Cotto then was beaten to a pulp and would end his career as a disgraced boxer only 6 moths later in his very next fight. Baldomir has fought from 147-168 and has only been KO'd by Alvarez at 40

Aww poor Ricky wasn't allowed to wrestle in a boxing match to make up for the fact that his boxing skills were dog**** and poor Victor got KTFO because he was trying to make out with Floyd in the middle of the ring with his hands down. The far superior boxer won both of those fights and would have won both no matter where they fought or who the referee was.

Trout just lost to Canelo and Maidana lost to Alexander, Khan and Kotelnik. Floyd would be the heavy favorite to beat any of those guys and hasn't lost to anyone yet.

Sure they have all lost since but I am talking about at the time they happened. No one was saying Trout should be a top P4P fighter after he beat Cotto and he beat him by a wider margin on the scorecards than Floyd did. Same goes for Lopez and Maidana. Whatever your opinion of the Mayweather/Ortiz fight I don't think anyone would disagree that the fight would not have ended in the fourth under normal circumstances.

As for Floyd beating the other fighters you have mentioned I agree he would be heavy a favourite but you don't get any credit for fantasy matchups.

The problem is Trout hadn't really beaten anybody of note before Cotto, nor had Maidana or Lopez before they beat Ortiz, and how in the **** could you have any of them ahead of Floyd on your P4P list when they're clearly not in the same league P4P? And yes, fantasy H2H does count for something on the P4P list.
