Paulus Moses, Kevin Mitchell, Katsidis, Martinez and Ray Beltran are/were top ten guys when they fought Burns, he also has a stoppage win over Amidu who in some peoples opinion was robbed against top rated SF Burgos last time out. I think RING currently have Crawford ranked at what? number 10? Beltran is around number 7 I believe and should be higher because he's had some dodgy decisions, including against Bogere who IMO Beltran beat pretty soundly, Crawford hasn't fought a guy near the top ten yet

We should see Crawford fight somebody like Moses/Bogere before he gets a shot at Burns so we can actually judge how good he may be, not against a padded record Mexican and Mitchell victim Prescott, he shows some slickness and power against at BEST B- competition and all of a sudden he "schools Burns" cus Burns had a bad fight last time out, and why shouldn't he have had? That was Burns' first fight since Mitchell, which was A YEAR ago, the fights against Vaquez and Walsh fell through and Burns was having to train and hit his peak time after time without an actual fight, of course he was going to look out of sorts against Gonzalez for a while.

Diego Chaves was an unknown who (when I did a bit of research) actually looked like a good fighter, just like Gonzales. He was beating Thurman but crumbled down the stretch because he just wasn't ready for that level, people laughed when Malik Scott was declared the underdog against Chisora because "Scott has better skills and should school Chisora", regardless of the controversial count, Scott was crumbling against Chisora because he had actually stepped up to a level he had never fought at before, we have never seen Crawford, for all of his talent and skill, step up to that level, we havn't seen naything thus far that suggests Crawford won't crumble just like Gonzalez did when he steps up.

So you could say Diego Chaves, who had an almost identical record to Gonzalez, shouldn't have done what he did, because Thurman had fought the better competition, so therefore Thurman is an exposed bum because he struggled against a guy who on paper he should have demolished

So you admit Crawford is basically still a hype job, yet you say Burns doesn't have much of a chance against him despite the fact that Burns has beaten not only better fighters than Crawford has beaten, Including a devastating stoppage over Mitchell who did the exact same job on Crawfords best win Prescott, as Crawford did, but also better fighters than Crawford full stop

You are actually saying Ricky will weasel out of a fight with Crawford, because Crawford is hyped, and Ricky should fight guys like Crawford, because they are hyped, despite not beating anybody on good serious form yet?

Why did Broner/people think they only needed 6-7 weeks for a fighter like Ricky? There basically saying all they have to do is turn up and the fight will be easy work. Where as your basically saying you need a12 week camp to face someone like Broner even tho you think Ricky is the best in the world. Doesn't quite make sense to me. If you think your the best in the world and you would beat Broner 7 weeks should be more than enough time to prove it.

Broners people called your bluff. Now you will never face him cause he's gone too 147 with little chance of ever going back down to 135 so you dodge a bullet.

    :yep:yep

Could have sworn he has won world titles at three different weight classes (two of those by beating an existing champion) whilst Burns won an interim title at lightweight.

Heres a novel idea, Crawford vs Gonzalez

Ha you remind of the guy in the general who said Broner has surpassed Naseems record because he's a 3 weight champion, Broner beat a C level guy in Rodriguez ( who when he stepped up in class, lost to Willie Kickett, who was knocked out in 6 by Broner in an early fight) for the vacant title, just because it was for a trinket doesn't make that "Broner proven at world level", Burns' win over Katsidis for the interim title you mention is MUCH better than Broner win over Rodriguez

Broner beat Malignaggi by SD, Malignaggi certainly wasn't impressed by him and Malignaggi is barely top ten at welterweight, Antonio Demarco has a flattering record to say the least

See heres the problem with what you are saying, you give Broner credit for being "proven at world level", yet you say Burns isn't proven, yet if Crawford were to fight and beat Burns for his title, everybody would say Crawford is "proven at world level" because he beat a top rated champion in Burns.....But...I thought Burns wasn't proven at world level, so how could a guy who beats him be proven at world level?

You say Broner is a proven world class fighter because he beat Demarco...well I could say who has Demarco ever DECISEVLY beaten at world level? etc. etc.

and for god sake don't say Molina or Linares

So Burns was talked about with Broner , Vasquez, unification fights etc etc

Even changed promoters cause that didn't happen- apparently

And 2 fights since the promoter change no big fights, and more domestic "world title" dust ups lining up the next year.

    WTF happened ??

Really so tell me then who Broner has beaten who is above Ricky's opponents, you seem to have a vendetta against Burns why dont you just shut it you clearly no **** all of boxing if you think Burns hasnt fought a champion, how else would he have won a belt if he didnt fight a champion, if i recall Martinez was rated number 1 at SFW so who should he have fought instead

Broner aint good enough to tie naseem hameds laces!

Broner would of got koed easily by Naz at super featherweight, Naz would of played with all day in that ridicolous upright stance he has.

Alot of people thought malinaggi won the fight including well respected boxing figures. Ricky has beaten Roman Martinez who Broner ducked.

To be fair to Solaris Billy, Katsidis wasn't technically champ, he was interim champ, he fought some dude called Juan Manuel Marquez for the full title, floored him, but lost in the later rounds

Adrien Broner on the other hand is a "proven world class fighter" because he beat Vincente Rodriguez for the vacant belt apparently and became a CHAMP

If Katsidis had fought Rodriguez for the belt, he would have been champ too, Solaris
