Gallagher slams Crolla critics and accuses Burns camp of running scared!

Billy carefully selects questions to answer. Avoids others. He claims crollas name was never mentioned when Ricky was under ******. I know thats a lie and so does Billy ;-)

The reason he doesn't wanna fight Crolla is because he wants bigger fights for Burns at long last which is fair enough. But some of the drivel that we have been served up in the last 2 years with Ricky Crolla is easily a deserved opponent compared to some of them......if the cap fits..........

 

Enjoying this, solaris is getting well telt, how did sparring go when they have met in the past?

I can assure you neither Ricky or his manager mentioned Anthony when we fought Moses, it was more like "Joe the desperado" drumming up nonsense then blaming Ricky Hatton 18 months later, why haven't we heard of this before now, I will tell you coz it's ****!

 

Macky I will tell you now unless Ricky gets ridiculous money to fight Anthony the fight won't happen, in mine and most people's eyes it shouldn't happen anyway.
What would Ricky get out of beating a guy who's not even proven the best domestically, you may well say what about Walsh but Ricky didn't want to fight him for the same reasons

 

You would have fought Rees, and it would have been the same kind of money Billy. I'd say he is proven the best domestically. Everyone had Rees as the best domestically. Crolla beat him convincingly. It wasn't a fluke, it was 12 hard rounds and he was never in trouble once in that fight.

Don't comeback with Derry Mathews its boring. We all know the Crolla that beat Rees beats Mathews all day long. People not giving him credit for the Rees win is disgraceful. Supposed English boxing fans disrespecting an good honest English pro, shameful.

Don't get me wrong Billy, i wanna see Ricky in with the best in the world. My argument is that Anthony warrants a shot more than most of rickys last opponents, simple as that!

Mitchell - Crolla equally deserves it. Mitchell beats Murray, Crolla beats Rees. if one win is a worthy title shot then so is the other.

You defended all of the above fights.......you seem to have changed your tune Billy boy.

 

To be a world class fighter you actually have to fight world class opponents.

 

It's not boring it's fact Macky, Derry smashed Anthony and got a draw the 2nd time come on pal,also haven't you said to me Ricky would beat Anthony?
what about Anthony's second coach Sean who puts Anthony through technical workouts in the old fitness first in Gorton, I'd have thought he'd just do it all in the one gym.

 

Mitchell beat Murray who was a euro champ, let's be honest Derry Mathews deserves a shot before Ant because he's not beat him in 2 attempts but he has stopped Ant I cant understand how you can't see this, the bottom line is Ant won't be fighting Ricky coz he's not good enough!
and no Ant never beat Rees convincingly majority decision

 

Crolla v Burns would be a total mismatch, FFS get real. Burns would stop Crolla inside 5 rounds. On this occasion Gallagher is talking bollocks, he loves his own hype.

Mathews bashed him up and stopped him and then got a draw in the second fight. Kevin Mitchell and Gallagher's former kid Murray would also bash up Anthony - in fact Joe should be calling for this fight. It would make a great domestic sky card with the revenge angle after John fcuked Joe off and net both kids a decent purse in a Manchester derby. Terry Flanaghan and Jaime Moore's kid I forget his name who just got beat by Mathews would also beat Crolla :roll:

Of course this is only my opinion buts there's an easy way to sort this mess out - let Burns go off to World class after he hopefully gets passed Beltran who is a good kid and in the meantime lets have a box off in the domestic scene... Mathews, Crolla, Woodhouse, Flanaghan, Murray, Mitchell etc should fight it out to establish the No 1 at domestiv level then let the winner fight Burns....Everybody's happy then surely?? - Hearn will fill his dates with good evenly matched dustups for the viewers and sky, the fighters will earn decent bread and we establish who the best is :thumbsup

 

Everyone wants that to happen Dragon Punch but as long as Burns and his team keep ducking the very best you can hardly blame the likes of Gallagher. Until Burns finally fights a champion they have every right to call him out.

He needs to step up and fight the best and everyone in the domestic scene will quieten down.
