yeah, you're right, it was the Doctor. i thought that it was Murats corner. it has been a while since i've seen it.

i think it was a broken nose. the fights over if that's the case. one of Murats corner men can be seen pointing to the top of their own nose to explain to Kalle Sauerland why it was stopped.

don't think any funny business was going on. the Doctors are supplied by the BBBofC, not Wa55en.

Murat was being dominated and was given a beating anyhow. he was never going to get a KO that late in the fight. he was spent. you can see in his body language he looks dejected. and Cleverly had the chin to take his best shots.

    fair win.

    fair enough.

it is going to be a great fight. it won't be easy for both. but i'm picking Clev by decision or late stoppage.

not long to go now. :happy

Clev doesn't think it's going to be easy at all. he knows that Kovalev will be tough. he's spoken about that plenty of times. but he is confident. which he's supposed to be.

in America, yeah. that doesn't happen over here most of the time.

plus, they usually have neutrals over here. i hope it's the case this time in case some on here try to make excuses.

the Bellew fight was close, but we got the right winner. you can't dominate all your fights for clear cut wins. this isn't a computer game we're talking about. it's world class fighting.

I seem to think I recall Nathan saying he went into the Bellew fight with an injury. I think he said it was a broken or cracked rib and that he damaged it a couple of weeks before the fight. Cant remember for sure and could be wrong.
Both Cleverly and Bellew came out of their fight with credit and both are top 10 LHWs

    Book mark this post.

If any of us are on here in 3 years time, and we talk Cleverly, because by then I think he will have been the top LHW for a while.
This win for Nathan will probably be mentioned the same way that Calzaghes over Lacy is mentioned, if Kovalev doesnt go on to achieve much in his career.
Im not even convinced that Kovalev will be Nathans biggest win of yet.
We will probably have posters say things like Kovalev was a one dimensional puncher or some other rubbish if Nathans performance goes like I think it will

:good yeah, he had a cracked rib. but he didn't want to pull out so close to the fight.
most fighters would have looked for another date. so Clev gets credit for gritting it out like that.

great fight that both learned from.

Bellew actually surprised me with his boxing on the back foot. it was tight and controlled. he just didn't have enough stamina down the stretch. which is what i think will happen to Kovalev. he was breathing pretty hard after the White fight. and he didn't even do all that much in the fight. not enough to be breathing so heavily.

all this talk will be over in a week. the truth is coming. i can't wait.
