no, i dont think maidana can stop broner. ponce beat him by outboxing him, which surprised the hell out of me, i didnt think ponce could outbox anybody. its a good fight for broner and it will take broners best to beat him, but i see him just a little bit more skilled than maidana. maybe im underestimating maidanas so called improvement, i just dont see a very skilled boxer.
I think that they will bring out the best in both of each other. Broner's closest fights are fights that he clearly won, but showed his critics vulnerability. Maidana's heart and resume can't be questioned. I think that both guys now benefit fighting at 147. It's a good fight, and a tough fight, but I think Maidana will force Broner to fight, and Broner will oblige.
This is a pick em fight. If broner gets cuaght or dropped with something big from Chino then we will see how he adjust. Chino goes for the kill when his man is hurt. One thing about Chino is that he does not take body shots well (Khan/Lopez), If Broner aims for the gut early he can stop em. If this is a PPV fight im not buying. Good fight but not PPV plus i wont be putting money in Broners pocket
Pretty much the way i envision it . Maidana is going to Look like Prime Margarito in there that night . Nothing but pressure , pressure , pressure . Rounds 8-11 Broner gets broken down and stopped . Broner will have a lot of moments in this fight and probably even be up on the scorecards by the time he gets stopped . The dude got talent , But for some reason i just cant see winning this fight . I can sense Maidana is going to be out for Blood come fight night .
Exactly and it's easy to see. How in the hell is a slow come forward guy with **** defense overrated power going to beat a guy with superior speed reflexes reach better boxing ability good power and defense?? It's not going to happen and people who think it will overrate the hell outta Maidana, he's no world beater he's limited and crude. He's made to order from Broner. Broner is going to stand in front of Maidana make him miss walk him down break him down and beat him the **** up.:deal
:deal Broner loves these types he holds a huge stylistic advantage over them. Similar to how Pac loved them and similar to how Mosley loved them to. You don't come forward against a guy who can beat you to the punch and throws combos especially if you're crude and limited as Maidana who can fight only one way with no defense or ring IQ. Horrible match up for him. Broner will break Maidana down and by the mid to late rounds Maidana will be beaten the hell down. It will be a clinic.
Problem is Maidana isn't a pressure fighter he's more of a slugger. He doesn't have the workrate, frame or durability of Margo. He also doesn't apply educated pressure behind a jab and look to cut off the ring. He's fcuked in this match up you know this but have an irrational hate for Broner that prevents you from agreeing with me. That's fine though because at the end of the day I'll have the last laugh as usual and continue to remind you of it long after the demolition job Broner drops on Maidana's crude ass.:hi:
Maidana is a tough dude who can crack. But just because you're willing to go to war with anyone doesnt mean much if you're matched up against someone who is going to make you look foolish when you try. I'll be happy the day someone shuts Broner up but it aint going to be Maidana and I think people will be surprised how one sided this is. Maidana is very easy to find and despite having pop, isnt this irresistable force who would knock an elephant out. i see a 9-3ish type fight with Maidana flailing about and getting picked apart repeatedly.
Broner wins a decision. Maidana's chin isn't good as Paulie's, he'll get hard and turnoff like he did against Devon. he won't get stopped though
im a grown man not some little dickrider who has to defend his man crush from all criticism. thats why i say broner beats maidana, i call em like i sees em and ponce sure as hell beat bron bron.
I'll take Broner by TKO. I think he can take this, as long as he stays focused. He's been spending a lot of time with Band Camp. I just hope he doesn't remember what made him famous.
No way. Maidana may not be the greatest, but suffice it to say that he will be Broner´s toughest test to date. I look at the resumes of both guys and I tell you what...Maidana beats Broner by a mile...with the losses and all. At least he manned up and took some challenges. I don´t know why everyone is hyping up this guy that clearly has made a career on beating undersized opponents. Now he is fighting at the right division for his frame, and he will get a dose of reality. He does have good hand speed and reflexes, but he has average mobility (at best), a suspect defense, and a bad tendency to fight with his mouth open...he is an accident waiting to happen. He had power when he was fighting midgets, but that remains to be seen at 147 lb. The kid is a character, no question, but I see a lot of flaws in his game that will be exploited the minute a faces someone who is elite. Granted, Maidana is not elite, but he has power, and I tell you what, there´s nothing I have seen from Broner that makes me think that he can avoid being hit consistently by Maidana. Then we will see what the kid is made of...
