Maidana is going to stop Broner late on

Sure he has flaws but Maidana has light years more and on top of that he's even more limited. The guy is slow has no defense and fights dumb. He's going to get beat to the punch all night long trying to come in on Broner. Broner is far more accurate and he puts his punches together better. Not only that Broner can fight on the inside and is a great body puncher which Maidana hates. His defense will allow him to negate Maidana's crude attack and frustrate him.

Maidana is arguably one of the most overrated boxers on this forum and you will see that when they meet when Broner lands on his no defense having ass like rain on a tin roof all night long. Toughness and aggression only take you so far skills pay the bills and Broner has more of them.

 

You could be right, but i hope you give Maidana a bit of credit if he out toughs broner and stops him. that is Maidana's only chance of winning.

Broner will out box him at times, maybe most of the fight but what happens if Maidana lands a good shot?, will Broner laugh it off or will it effect him and change the fight and Maidana stops him through sheer willpower and toughnes.

I can't decide whether Broner makes Maidana look silly for the 12 rounds or Maidana gets to him and Broner doesn't take it very well and Maidana just out Mans him, out toughs him.

 

I will give him credit if he beats Broner. I will even make a thread and admit I was wrong and give Maidana and his fans their due.

 

Fair dues, i can see why you think broner will have an easy night, Maidana is there to be hit all night but i'm not totally sold on broner's power at 147 and i do think he will will have to hurt Maidana to get his respect.

If his power effects Maidana then i can't see a way maidana wins, but if Maidana is able to take Broner's shots then at some point Maidana might land a game changing punch.

I love maidana man, and i think if he can land enough shots he will win by stoppage, broner might out Box him though, we shall find out November 9th hopefully.

Maidana has gotten better with his boxing skills, fights behind a jab now, where it may help him against fighters that come forward. But against Broner, that style won't work just like it didn't vs. Alexander. Maidana would have to bring the old berserker back to subdue and punish Broner. I don't think Broner is as good as they make him out to be, but neither is Maidana. Broner would pick him apart at this point, old version of Maidana has better chance. Matthysse would hit Broner so hard Broner would actually think he really is Floyd Mayweather, but thats a different topic.

Mares is a bantamweight fighting at 126 and destroyed a better version of PDL than Broner, Gamboa, or Lopez ever fought. You know PDL has wanted that rematch with Lopez and improved because of it. He'd beat Lopez in a rematch. Please don't embarrass yourself tryin to compare Broner to Mares, a real p4p champ.

this is a salient point. The question is can a guy who had to go the distance with paulie do want Devon did. Possible I think. If the fight becomes a slugfest gotta favor Maidena, otherwise Broener.
