What are you on about?...Stervine has to put food on the table and Vit is not allowing him to do that. He has enough money to sit around on the belt all he wants. Stiverne has earnt the right for his title shot. He already had to wait 2 year, go through 2 final eliminator's , 3 postponed pursebids and now told there wont be any fights cos Vit doesn't feel like defending. A real champion would have more honour and dignity than that....Just another chapter of k2s destruction of boxing.

I responded with a run down of Lewis's title defenses in all three of his spells as a World Champion, telling you how many fights per year he had from the moment he won the title to the moment he lost it or retired.

Then in this thread http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=484163 you repeated the claim of Lewis having a two year break between title defenses and I reponded again by reposting what I had written in the first thread.

I knows its a crap scenario for the Haitian, but he is going to have to sit and wait for Vitali who I reckon will not return until June'ish. I cannot understand why they have not explored this as it is a money making option with Haye, Fury having to pay hefty sanctioning fees........

In 2004 I believed him. He retired as a Champion which was injured.

But after his comeback I lost my respect. Never imagine Vitali acted like this. And now the same again.

There's only one WBC HW belt. He should be fighting for that. Incorrect. If a champion is injured interim belt holders are determined and then the injured champ has 6 months to defend his 'real' belt, otherwise the interim champ becomes regular belt holder.

That's how it has always been. I don't see why we need to change the rules for Vitali.
