It means Clev's team see him as a hype job.

    Key stage 2 stuff!!!

Confused about this thread? Is it the wrong title/post?

Either way Bellew is getting sparked in Montreal end of this year.

Exactly, I dont think Bellew actually said it anyway I think he suggested Clev's team see him as a hype job.

Anyway who cares? Even if Bellew did say it it would be banter to try and wind Clev up.

Yeah I bet White thought that until he felt the first punch in round 1 and his legs nearly gave way. While White may not be highly ranked he had just beaten Sukhotsky and had 16 KO's in 21 wins - in my opinion a better level than the Shawn Hawks Clev's been in with recently. I think he's shown his power is genuine and you dont have over 100 amateur wins without some decent boxing skills.

I'm looking forward to seeing Clev's reaction when he feels the first good hit, hope he can handle the power enough to fire back too 'cos then we'll see a reet good scrap I reckon! :bbb

Hope Clev wins but I got Kov by stoppage.

not often i agree with bellow but he is bang on clev team obviously does think he is hype job.

dean powell ******s matchmaker is one of shrewdest guys in boxing and he obviously thinks the risk reward ratio here is heavily in clevs favour given kovalevs reputation in the states.

personally as have said think clev is most underrated fighter in britain and have him taking this cosy.and have bet accordingly.if goes past five when clev world class work rate comes into play will then see how good kovalev is.my guess not very good.

Kovalev is no hype job iv been watching him a while he's the real deal IMO I just hope Clev is on his A game cause he will need to be with this man. Very dangerous fight, props for all involved.

I like Bellew but this is pretty clear to me what he's doing.

He's dismissing Kovalev because he knows there's a good chance he could KO Clev. If that happens he has ammo to throw at Clev, if Clev wins then he can just say "I told you so".

Mate when White stepped up in class he got knocked out in a round by a journeyman who got dominated by Fancisco Sierra, yeah he's really better than the fighters Cleverly has faced

And I've already explained why the Campillo win everyone bums and blows about doesn't actually mean that much, Campillo was on terrible form and had a terrible training camp for that fight, and they mentioned that he wasn't well prepared before the fight, so don't say it was just an excuse

Everybody says "this is Cleverlys toughest test to date" that it is, but it's also Kovalevs toughest test to date by far aswell

Christ can we not give Clev the credit for taking this fight, i knew this would happen, if clev beats Kovalev people will then say he is a hype job ect, if clev wins its an outstanding win and deserves nothing but respect for both taking the fight and hopefully winning it, i bet if Kovalev wins i wonder would Bellew have the balls to fight him doubt it, Bellew is a way bigger hype job then Kovalev

Freddie Roach called Kovalev, "One of the his favorite fighters in world boxing and a complete boxer!"
