Canelo @ 166.8 already looks trim and ripped. At 152 will look drained as ****.

I think there's a possibility to see Floyd stopping Canelo in the later rounds because of Canelo's dehydration and stamina issues but at least it will be a very very good payday for Canelo.

Canelo's next fight should be @ 160, doubtless.

Its a real pity the fight isnt at 154. A win over Canelo at 154 (which Floyd is well capable off) would be regarded far more highly than a win at 152, fairly or not.

To be fair he did look lean & ripped in the pic, but he has been making 154 pretty easy.
If I was Canelo I'd ignore the 152 & just come in at 154 & just pay the fine.. Can't see Floyd canceling the fight.

It won't matter because Canelito won't go anywhere anyway....not at 5'7 with mediocre skills.

I think his skills are well above mediocre. Are they good enough to make noise at 160 as short as he is? Probably not even close.

    He's a solid fighter...nothing more...nothing less.

He can't even make too much noise at 154...not with guys like demetrius Andrade...Jermell Charlo and Keith Thurman coming onto the scene.

Yes I too would have perferred the full 154 .... However, after Floyds fight with Cotto (who is much smaller than Canelo), I can understand why this fight is being made at 152.

Keep in mind though, that if there is no rehydration clause, Canelo will still be in high 160's/Low 170's on fight night

tyson was small for his weight class, sure i would not put his ability at tyson level but he is great at what he does and handled a great boxer in trout really well, and this kids 23... still plenty of time to grow as a fighter, at his weight division he should not hit the downward slope until about 31-32

He doesn't have the skills and explosiveness of Tyson.

    You see

Canelito won't be the only one growing as a fighter...Charlo and Andrade ect are growing as fighters as well..the thing is...they aren't 5'7.

Alvarez is already headed down at an early age...just like Vargas.
