If Liston was in 1967 WBA Tourney

Amos Lincoln was rated by Ring at #7 at the time of the Liston - Amos Johnson bout, and had held that rating for several months. Amos Johnson was unranked by Ring when Liston fought him, though Johnson was rated briefly at #10 about a year before.

By the time Liston fought Amos Lincoln, Lincoln had fallen out of the ratings.

Leotis Martin was ranked by Ring at #10 going into the Liston bout. Liston was ranked #3.

 

But the WBA, whose ratings are far more significant in a discussion of whether Liston should have been in the WBA tourney, had Johnson ranked 8th.
