Has Andre Berto reached the stage where he could be described as a bum?

no he just was not what the hype suggested, he is not an elite level boxer. close to gatekeeper level

 

He's not necessarily gatekeeper level. He is horrendous against
mexican pressure fighters though. If he fights and loses against
a completely different style next time out, then yeah he's
a gatekeeper

No boxer is a bum,certainly not a world class fighter,he's defo coming to the end of his career but still has a few decent fights left in him..

 

why the hell does any fighter that loses on this site get labelled as a bum its ludicrous....

maybe not elite but jeez to call him a bum is just idiotic. these are the very best in the world that have dedicated themselves for years , the obsession with losing a fight being the end of someones career really is what is killing this sport.

 

I don't call a fighter who competes with world level opposition a "bum".... or even a club fighter.

karass, guerraro and ortiz are pretty solid level fighters who would beat allot of guys. He reminds me of jeff lacy and He needs to stop fighting mexicans lol

I think Berto is a B- fighter. Good but not great.

 

Berto is still young and does come ready to fight. He needs to fine that inner strength to seperat e him from most contenders.
