Really he isn't. Maidana is really just a bigger version of him. People talked about how Demarco would have Broner running all over the ring looking for a place to lie down and how he would stand up to Broner's power and it wouldn't be a factor. I said going in that fight that Demacro couldn't deal with speed and power as he showed in his fight with Valero where he was frozen by Valero's speed and power. Instead what you got was one of the biggest demolition jobs of the year. Demarco couldn't handle Broner's speed and Broner walked him down got to his body and broke him down. Guys like Maidana and Demacro are simply too slow and crude to beat a guy like Broner who can overwhelm and outclass them.:deal
Broner should win this pretty one sided, BUT he's been a little too hittable lately, so he better move better in this fight than he did against paulie and gavin
I agree completely. I like watching Marcos fight, he's always down to scrap, but how people think that he is going to steamroll Broner is "CRAY".... AB is the real deal. I think his performance against Paulie was very good. He fought a crafty champion and rolled every 8 to 10 punches Paulie threw. I am not saying Marcos can't hurt or even KO him, but a smart man wouldn't bet on that. Lets not forget Josesito Lopez was giving him all he could handle until he got hurt in their fight.
People dislike Broner to the point they don't see the subtleties of his game. He fights in the pocket so they call him flatfooted. If he were a mover they'd call him chicken.
Yet Hatton and Khan found him easy to hit repeatedly ? Where were Paulies "smarts" during these fights ? Paulie was feather fisted at 140, and even more so at 147, that is why Hatton and even China chinned Khan simply walked through him, so wtf didn't Broner ? Maidana has been beaten and outclassed before, but at some point in every fight he's found the target, you and the rest of the Broner fan club are reapeatedly highlighting the fact that Broner isn't a 147lb fighter, and that he only had 2 fights at 135, but your convinced he has a 147lb chin ? I'd suggest you go and " learn something about the sport and how to analyze styles" then maybe you'd have more imaginary dollars in your imaginary Vcash total. :hi:
Madina is going to loose. He's not skilled enough to win this fight. Although we don't know how good Broner chin is, can he take punch? If Madina can connect a few times I guess will find out what Broner chin is really made of.
Valid point, Paulie has done well against boxers, but has always looked uncomfortable against punchers. Hatton wasn't a great technician, and neither is Khan. Hatton used pressure, and Khan speed. Paulie would look capable until Maidana landed the first heavy shot.
Malinaggi can move while hurt especially downstairs. Maidana just freezes. Broner is going to put a hurting on him.
For the people saying this is an easy fight for Broner and comparing Maidana to Demarco,I'm gonna tell you all how way off the mark you are. First thing Demarco is a career lightweight and punches nowhere near as hard as Marcos Maidana,he hasn't mixed in the same class as Maidana either.Adrien Broner has looked comfortable in his career up until now because he has been the bigger guy in all his fights, even against Paulie he looked physical superior.Another thing I noticed in the Paulie fight is that he doesn't seem to have the same bang at welter than what he did at lightweight. He hit Paulie flush plenty of times and didn't even look close to stopping him.Maidana is known to be vulnerable but he's a beast at the same time he doesn't stop plowing forward with power until he gets his guy out of there, yes Demarco did the same thing but he couldn't hurt Broner. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does the first time Maidana hits him.
Broner is counting on his referee and judges to give him the fight, but what if Maidana lands a big punch on him?
Maidana is a hard puncher, he doesn't have the best skills for setting up punches but broner doesn't have the best skills for getting out the way of them. In broner's best fights he's looked very hittable. I predict a great fight. When you have 2 fighters who both truly believe they are better, they will fight like warriors to prove it. Maidana and Broner both possess the ability to win, it is really a mental and strategy thing.
