It won't hurt him at all. In those pics, he looks like he's around 235ish and that's the perfect fighting weight for him. Mitchell is gonna attack the body relentlessly so tightening up his mid section can only help.

You think he doesn't have nutritionists that know this and more?

He didn't hurt Stiverne at all. You should watch the last round to see Arreola getting beaten to a pulp, all over the ring. I've never heard of such bias crap.

I'm surprised that this fight was made. I figured that they'd want to try to get Mitchell a title fight by fighting easier opposition. Seems strange to take such a big risk by fighting Arreola.

Arreola should win this as long as he doesn't underestimate Mitchell and get caught with a big punch.

I think his nutritionist, if he even has one, is a fraud. Areolla is a brawler, and like any brawler, he needs very strong, agile legs. Strong legs however need a strong back. There is a reason Wlad looks like a bodybuilder, and that is because our body is a system, where every muscle group is connected to another. Being grossly out of shape like Areolla doesn't just affect one aspect of his conditioning, it affects them all.

If I was Arreola's trainer, and he listened to me religiously, you'd have another Haye like physique, much improved ring movement and footwork, and much higher effective work rate from Chris in a year tops.

It takes years to get into that kind of shape. You can't just turn up to camp, start training and expect to be an athlete.

It only takes years if you're in terrible shape to begin with. Chris has phenomenal muscle memory and his cardiovascular system is superb, so I would have a very solid foundation to work on. Lets not forget that he boxed as a super middleweight as an amateur, for a considerable length of time.

A year is all he'd need, on my diet, with my training schedule, and of course no alcohol.

that link shows a 240 lb non-athlete becoming a shredded 170 lb athlete in just 2 years. A career pro like Areolla can do it in half the time easy.

Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on his continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what he's got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight he can get. Thanks for the motivation.

Arreola's conditioning and physique is one of the more talked about subjects on this thread.

It's funny. It takes his 3rd career defeat for him to immediately trim up for his next fight 4-5 months later?

Remember the stretch last year I think it was where he fought something like 5 times in 6 months? I know his shirt is on in those pics in this thread, but he looks the best physically I've ever seen, probably.

Muscle memory has nothing to do with being ripped, it's about having a solid muscular core, that you rid of fat through proper dieting. If he does strength training with kettlebells and free weights, as well as runs, swims and stops eating junk food, you will see him ripped AND with most of the fat getting converted into FUNCTIONAL muscle, rather than just losing fat and looking like a deflated balloon, like he does now.

Kettlebells and free weights are hard, hard work. Gruelling, exhausting, unforgiving. I think Chris is just not ready for that level of dedication yet.
