Maybe i am missing something, but its not like Canelo has to weigh 152 on fight night, just at the weigh in. So it isnt known exactly how much weight he has to cut still, it may be 0 or it could be 10 lbs I dont think anyone can say for sure at the moment.

if I were Canelo, I'd fuk off the 152 and come in a bit heavier and pay Floyd the required fee, since Canelo is still going to get more than he's ever earned for this fight

on the other hand, if he feels 152 is in his comfort zone, then fine, he knows himself better than anyone else

I agree, but that isnt the point. Why do people keep saying he has so much weight to lose when in reality it probably isnt that much. I realize he is looking lean already but, just a guess here, if he loses another 2-3 lbs he would be ok

Because people are either too stupid or lazy to differentiate between cutting and actually losing the weight.

Anybody with a brain that can think half intelligently can understand weight and weight issues when it comes to boxing.

Fighter comes to camp out of shape, must get into boxing shape, while working for the fight.

Fighter can also come into camp in shape and spend most of the camp focusing on the fight and not losing weight.

It's not a hard concept to understand. Losing weight, cutting, sustaining, adding, etc.
