No. I'm a big Mayweather fan but Hattons victory over Tyszu is greater than any other single win in Floyds career.

I think the problems with the victory for mayweather come from Floyd draggin Hatton up to 147 for the fight and surround the abysmal performance of Cortez that night calling 'break' before the fighters even got into a clinch. Another aspect of the fight was mayweather continually ducking below waist level and then Cortez warning hatton if a punch landed on the back of mayweathers head whilst doing so.

What was most sickening about Cortez is that a week later he refereed Calzaghe v Hopkins in the polar opposite style allowing Hopkins to hold and wrestle all night long without warning.

I aint making no excuses because for me, Mayweather is a true ATG, the greatest boxer since Sugar Ray Leonard but there is still scope for Hatton to be pissed off with Cortez's performance.

no where near, hatton is one of his top 5 wins for sure and with a competent ref it would of been a close fight

Calling him incompetent is letting him off. He wasnt incompetent, he was corrupt.

Don't compare Hatton to Jeff Lacy. I wish we had Hatton in today's 140 lb division, would give a better example of what he's made of.. Anyway, I've always liked the guy and feel he's a bit under rated. Wasn't an elite fighter(ie Floyd and PAC), but was one of the best during his time.

No, Hatton forced Floyd to fight a rough, brawling fight. Anyone that can
give good enough to make Floyd switch to plan b is not a weak opponent.

Hatton relied on hometown referees and judges. As soon as he came to America he struggled and was brutally and embarrassingly KOed.

The Tszuyu fight was a complete disgrace what Hatton was allowed to do.

    Hatton has a Glass Jaw.

I actually watched this fight yesterday. All the way through.

I think Hatton was a decent opponent. Strong, on a winning streak but i don't rate him very highly. Judah>Hatton in my opinion.

But i have a controversial opinion on the Hatton fight. I actually think it was one of Mayweather's worst performances. Hatton was rough and awkward but Mayweather struggled with his distance and timing for many of the early rounds. I think people will point to Hatton's foot speed and say he was able to close the distance faster than Floyd was used to. But i honestly think Mayweather was not sharp until round 7. He had been off for quite some time going into the fight and it showed big time.

No. Hatton is a good win for Floyd. Floyd was just a better fighter plus going up in weight and the **** refereeing made it even harder for Hatton.

  14. Well, people here call Vitali a ducker and bum .. but you guys are ok with that. There are even some users who say, Trout won against Canelo .. but to tell facts, that Hatton was overrated and got his arse kicked everytime he stepped are not acceptable for you .. thats fanboyism.

    Rico said everything about Hatton.

As a boxer, yes. As a wrestler, no.
